Apple and Facebiok started pushing it real hard along with Roblox and Epic, I think.
And now Facebook has named their company around that concept.

All “new” things like mumbo jimbo. We end up getting use to the name. Who though the name “emoji” would catch on?
Mumbo jumbo is a good name for that thread, if we ever choose to discuss it separately.
Emoji is one concept while metaverse is a family of concepts. And it is not necessarily related to VR.

The problem is no one is explaining it.
Everyone is talking as if it is a thing.
Everyone = all companies.
Before Mark Zuckerberg came with it I had never heard of it. Then I saw a video on YouTube,didn’t click it that Xbox will have a Metaverse for Halo and Xbox…
I’ve no idea what it all even means. I’ll watch tomorrow if I have time.
It’s a place where money is funneled from unwitting clients to large corporations 
If I understood it, I’d be happy to explain it

A.I was a failure? I really didn’t know. I liked it.
Well, its relative. It was unsuccessful for a Spielberg movie. Ended up making about 235 million Worldwide on a 100 million dollar (estimate) budget. Domestic (US box office) was only 78 Million.
