Xbox Game Studios |OT7| Killer News Here!?

This is me guessing, but they could have started it and it wasn’t going so well, so that combined with getting Indy means they threw it out.

Youngblood was a collaborative project with Arkane Lyon, too. So, really, their last full production was in 2017.

a nightmare… literally a nightmare

Make it 2040, you know, just to be safe.

Nope 2077 sounds about right

So we know about quite a few publishing games, but aside from Contraband and maybe Project Dragon they aren’t the massive ones that we’re used to seeing like Ryse or Quantum Break. So being that they definitely steered toward publishing games so they can throw them on gamepass and less on moneyhatting, what else do you thinks in the hopper in terms of big publishing games?

They always seem to have some 3rd party action adventure game, so I’m going to guess that’s out there. They e also done lots with JRPGs when they focused on Japan and that seem to be a focus, so will we see a big Japanese XGSP game.

Hajime Tabata’s JP games is working on two RPGS with big publishers, so im desperately hoping at least one of them is published by Xbox

Maybe me just being pessimistic but considering how many XGP games have been leaked already im assuming something big like that would have been leaked by Jez or Jeff by now

Which would be a shame as I feel he’d be a perfect target for Xbox, especially now that FF has basically been locked down by Sony

Could be that they started on Wolf 3 but it got paused/canned when they got the Indy licence. It happens.

Personally not bothered at all about Wolfenstein taking a break. It’s been milked hard as a franchise. Since 2001 the longest break between games using the IP has been five years, and there’s been seven games in the past decade. It could do with a break.

With XBGS having Halo, id and Perfect Dark, they aren’t in desperate need of more FPS. Will be interesting to see what Machine do with the third person adventure genre with Indiana Jones and where they might go with it afterwards.

I am also wondering if one of those games are for Xbox.

That was my take a few months ago too. Imagine telling Disney you want to make an Indy game but you don’t see him. Alot of people on this board jumped all over me for stating that.

I think we might see a Young Indy, kinda like the old Chronicles show. They made the point of saying it wasn’t going to be based on Harrison Ford.

Interesting…

I was hoping for Wolfenstein III before Indiana Jones simply because we know the next game is wrapping up the reboot and like with the current storyline in Gears 6, I would prefer it to be wrapped up sooner rather than later. I started with the 2014 reboot in The New Order which is still the best Wolfenstein game in the last 7+ years. I just wanted to see it conclude instead of having to wait years for that to happen.

I am more hyped for Indiana Jones than Wolfenstein III. I just wanted the reboot to conclude already.

Agreed. Plus, third person is better for melee combat, exploration, plat forming and puzzle solving so it definitely fits better with Indiana Jones.

I don’t mind a younger Indiana Jones if it’s going to be a trilogy/series/franchise because he can get more experience as the games go along but if it’s just a single game, I would prefer a mid-30’s Indiana Jones that already has the experience and whatnot because gameplay wise, there shouldn’t be any limitations because character wise, he would know what he’s doing already.

Not expecting Harrison Ford to have anything to do with the game which is fine and long as the character is written good, story is great and the treasure we’re searching for has a meaning and a purpose.

It’s gonna be a game about Indy’s son: Shia LeBouf
