Xbox Game Studios |OT7| Killer News Here!?

I think the money is allocated for GP, but if they can use it to do whatever, then buy studios, grow others and make more publishing titles.

I’d rather have more studios, even if the studios are like 5 people in a small office somewhere than waste money on getting 3 months of a major 3rd party release on GP.

More studios = more future exclusive content that stays = no more droughts.

I’d take 3 months of a AAA game for free than unlimited time with a game made by 5 people (not that there is any thing wrong with games made by 5 people).

Hell, give me a AAA on GP for two weeks and it’ll get played lol.

But point taken, more studios needed.

Haha I know we need more studios.

Oh shit totally forgot,

Sign-ups end tomorrow night for the 2022 XboxERA Backlog challenge.

Do pre-order games count as backlog? Haha

When they ship and come out yes.

Idk how they’d calculate the exact amount they are spending on gamepass but gamepass has definitely resulted in a huge increase in indie game development and funding, has a massive deal 2ith EA and has continued to put huge games from a bunch of developers on the service. 1 billion wouldn’t surprise me.

NGL, there are some games coming out where I say “That needs GamePass”.

Evil Dead The Game? That’s a GamePass game that ever GamePass’d.

That Aliens game

Now that the year is ending, what Xbox move surprised you this year? Mine would be third party release day one on Game Pass.

Fast and The Furious and Transformer games if they ever existed.

Haha yeah, it’s a bit unfortunate that the “perfect for Game Pass” game meme is kind of coming true.

I think we have reached (again) the conclusion that the only way forward is to populate the service with first party games. Game Pass should be carried by Xbox studios.

Buy Everyone!

Hate to say it:

Most of what’s usually unveiled during a Gamescom ONL or TGA is usually a “Probably needs GamePass” game.

Haha, perfect timing too I might dare to say.
