I believe that Microsoft will have a 20th Anniversary Showcase in mid-November. They should showcase the following -

1. Avowed gameplay reveal
2. Stalker 2 gameplay trailer and it gets announced that it’s a full console exclusive or even better, Microsoft announces that they’ve acquired GSC Gameworld. Either one is good with me. Hehe.
3. Indies Montage (The Gunk, Bright Memory Infinite, Scorn and Crossfire X MP and SP)
4. Redfall gameplay reveal
5. Halo Infinite campaign gameplay reveal

Then at The Game Awards -

1. Hellblade 2 gameplay reveal trailer
2. Forza Horizon 5/Sea of Thieves/State of Decay 2/Grounded/Flight Simulator post launch content/what’s next and upcoming trailer…since these are live service games, makes more sense to showcase them to a far bigger audience.
3. Starfield gameplay reveal teaser trailer. Under 2 minutes and at the end, it says “see a full in depth gameplay overview presentation” at the Xbox E3 Showcase in June 2022. They can confirm the actual date/time in the Spring along with it being 2 hours because well, it should be and doing this already lets everyone know that while expected, it’s confirmed that Microsoft will be at E3 with a massive Showcase.

At least this is what I would do.

If there is a show or stream for the 20th anniversary I would keep expectations firmly in check, don’t go expecting reveals or announcements. That’s if there even is a show at all and I don’t think there will be, more likely an Xbox Wire post and maybe some free avatar stuff or gamerpics for all.

Don’t know about an anniversary stream since they now have revealed the anniversary controller and shoes this week.

But they have to show Halo’s Campaign someday before launch. There is no major show before so they have to do something.

I hope it all works out, but I’m nervous to be honest. I want this to be the greatest Halo ever, multiplayer is already delivering on that end. I just hope the campaign follows.

Interesting. Things can change fast though, if any of the two, Nintendo and Sony it would definitely be Nintendo to go along with it. Nintendo games to GP would be insane, can you imagine? And the XSX automatically goes for the highest possible framerate too. That’s stuff of dreams.

Seems like we’ll be playing Zelda next year on dinosaur ass hardware and if you got a big TV it’s not gonna be too pretty docked. BotW already has aliasing, is far from smooth on Switch as it is.

So either Nintendo changed their mind and accepts Xcloud or even Game Pass or its indeed nothing hype worthy.

I still think the Xbox + Nintendo things is probably working out the legal issues for Goldeneye on NSO N64 and probably the B&K + Rare titles on the Service.

I don’t care if Nick said it wasn’t, it’s clear that Nintendo doesn’t want GamePass on Switch, and this is the only thing that makes sense.
