I love The Coalition. Just meh on Gears like most avg Xbox gamers. Not sure why they are working on a smaller project before their next big game(which should be a new IP imo). They have proven themselves already so it’s kinda odd a juggernaut like The Coalition is working on a smaller scale project. Is learning UE5 worth a whole project? I’m not too privy to that kind of stuff.
Also, which studio is rumored to be working on the 1st party MMO? Anticipating it because that genre is pretty boring on Xbox right now.
I think it’s a little reductive to say a game does well in Mexico just because there are Hispanic characters in it.
I’m half British half Greek Cypriot in heritage, but I’m not going to play a game just because it has a British or Greek character in it. I play games that feel good to me. Everyone does.
Different cultures do seem to gravitate towards different game genres, maybe Mexican culture is just a good fit for cover shooters.
You get a rare achievement for simply booting up Hivebusters … which is pretty telling.
They’ll just have to spice it up or simply just keep it more of the same, it seems like that’s good enough for Xbox from what some people are saying in here.
The studio will figure it out, they’re a talented sort.
For anything on Game Pass, every acheivement is a rare acheivement. They count downloads as players and many download and don’t get around to playing straight away, or even ever.
They need to change the system really as it is a bit comical at this point.
Please tell me this isn’t a grown man typing this babbling baby nonse…I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Don’t worry. I won’t be breaking your post down paragraph by paragraph
Just wanted to say if The Coalition switched to a God of War like game, that could be cool. Ironic, as both franchises have the same initials, but cool non the less
They do specialize in big scary enemies and cinematic sequences, so it seems like a natural fit. And I wouldn’t mind Gears taking a break for a bit. If it ever did come back it would feel more like a big deal than just another arbitrary iterration
Can you think of a better explanation as to why every single acheivement (even ‘get past the intro section’ acheivements) are counted as ‘rare achievements’ on games I play through Game Pass?
Well if it’s a completely different game, with a different setting in a different universe, who cares what Gears fans would appreciate
A dev shouldn’t be beholdent to such things as familiar mechanics, weapon wheels, d-pad functions etc. just because some players will be aware of their previous work
Not really, if anything they just have to bring Microsoft rewards to all regions and promote with the achievements more. How they are doing so now is good but unless you check in often to see the quest you do not know what you need to do.
They do need, I think, a separate achievement list for Dlc, so that if someone doesn’t want to play the he Dlc they still have the game perfected.
