This time people were only discussing “new” info by a trusted source like Jez, I find annoying the huge flagging by people who don’t even answer with their takes and the immediate “concern troll” accusation which always happen when there is even a slice of doubt about Xbox direction. I don’t have anything more to say about this or Indiana, since there is no other information.

I just don’t want to dwell on negatives based on what if’s. That stuff has the tendency to drag the discussion down.

But nobody is dragging discussions. We have legit been casually discussing it all morning and suddenly concern trolling and list wars accusations fly out in bad faith.
For example: Is raising the fact that Microsoft has not leveraged the Minecraft IP as they should concern trolling or list wars?

my issue is the same people constantly bring it up day after day.
is it a shortcoming? yes is it something to be discussed? yes is it something that needs discussing every day? no
when I see a massive notification number, my first thought is ‘oh no, who brought up licensed IP/exclusivity again’ which isn’t good for a forum
a forum should be a place for healthy discussion, not a place for the same few talking points repeated ad nauseum.

Rather that than 2K posts in the acquisition thread based on fake insiders talking nonsense when nobody knows shit.

I don’t care for the brand, I care for my money, if the brand isn’t strong enough or able to make decisions that make it worth to invest in their products, then I have no reason to care about any of it.
Xbox has a brilliant lineup ahead, and I’m sure they’re going to grow above and beyond.
The thing that I care most though, is the 3rd party support though, and sadly Xbox is lacking on this part and everyone knows it.
Yeah yeah, I’m sure everyone is tired about the same stuff being talked about, I just talked about it because of an insider comment about it, otherwise I know damn well I’m pretty positive about anything here.
Being called a concern troll is not alright though, I’ve made my point and was ready to move on.
When other mods don’t agree with someone they make a point about it, when the discussion is off-topic and served its purpose they make a green text about it.
If you don’t agree with me make your point, discuss it, don’t label me, I know well who I am and precisely why I’m saying the things that I am saying.
Xbox could explode tomorrow and I’d be ok with it, but this is a forum for discussing it’s games and plans for the future, I was giving my opinion about a multiplat game years ahead because an insider talked about it, that made me think about things that could remedy it.
This discussion would be over already if not for that greentext. Anyway that’s all.

Minecraft is a platform unto itself at this point , I don’tthink making it exclusive is even an option.
Oh my God, the excessive criticism and negative responses over the past week have made the forum a bad and annoying place to share and watch like (An Anti xbox place)
Moderators, please, can you open a special topic for criticism so that 3 -5 same people take comfort in criticism and stay away from polluting all the other topic with the same nonsense and boring criticism

I wish we could talk about the Indiana Jones game without worrying about exclusivity. I’m just excited about the prospect of the game personally. I don’t see the point of complaining about Xbox’s decisions regarding the game when none of it is official yet. If they confirm it to be multiplat, criticize it all you want, but continuously flooding the forum when nothing is known for sure? Please stop. I have seen the exact same discussion every single time the game is brought up since the initial announcement and I’m tired of it.
But no one is concern trolling either. I’ll say that.

FWIW, I don’t think anyone is concern trolling. Everyone here is coming from a genuine place. I just think that some people are a little more “glass half empty” and some folks may also enjoy arguing.
I have been here for a year and I know where most of you guys stand on most of these topics. I also know which topics are contentious and are likely to turn into a mess. I am just not interested in going down that path on the same shit over and over with the same people when no opinions are going to change.

No offense to Tim but I don’t believe for a second that the higher ups at MS only decided to make the Bethesda games exclusive after Sony started cutting deals. They have people to do the math on this sort of thing and we’re well aware of the advantages of having big name IPs exclusive to their service.
If you constantly post the same “concerned” discussion every day this isn’t valid criticism of Xbox. It’s just baseless concern. There’s literally no way of knowing whether or not Indiana Jones will be exclusive or not. Bringing up a tired discussion and acting like you’re not just once again being concerned about the “brand” is just false.

The new information hasn’t changed the pros and cons (okay, all cons) of the the decision just the likelihood.

It’s not really new, Jez said the same thing months ago. He was told back in June it was still multiplat. Nick has stated his “it’s exclusive” info not that old, in fact it’s really new.
