How long did you wait on the pending page? Or did you have a code to put in?
Maybe 30 seconds to a minute
I’m way over that lol
Been waiting for 15 minutes now.
Same
I must got lucky I guess
I don’t think it was going to launch this year regardless.
Fast travel confirmed for halo infinite
My God that menu music
Yeah. I’d actually thought HFW had ALREADY been delayed to 2022. Its pretty likely at this point, if not already. Sony don’t want to blemish their record for polish and as others have mentioned, Covid is rampaging again where the studio is. No number of support studios can mitigate that.
Do you mean Xbox one X and ps4 pro or like a slim model of the normal consoles? Because tech wise the Series consoles are made for longevity because of how good the tech is in there. Xbox one and ps4 pro were underpowered even before release of their launches that’s why mid gen refresh was needed

… Horizon II is not missing 2021. Book it. That being said, FH5 easily takes racing game of the year, Halo might win multiplayer game of the year considering not many new multiplayer games came out this year. Psyconauts 2 could win Platformer of the year, but I think that goes to R&C which won’t win GOTY because of Horizon II being in there. I think Flight Sim might get a special mention for the console version. FInal GotY Picks at the Geoff’s
Horizon II (Winner) Halo Infinite Resident Evil Village Returnal Death’s Door Metroid Dread (maybe?)
That’s what I think will be the GOTY picks this year at the Geoff’s with Sony walking away with GOTY again with Horizon II.
So… Horizon is releasing end of 2022.
Good to know Prog.

prog is serrano alt account confirmed?
I don’t know why people are betting against Grubb’s overall great record, or why a Sony first-party title is being used to derail the thread (this isn’t the Sony OT), but I’d suggest those that are recalibrate.

So according to Jeff Grubb Horizon:FW has been delayed to 2022. It also just seems likely at this point.
Considering that would have been the main competition for GOTY, as a fun prediction do you guys think an Xbox FP game can get GOTY this year and which game will it be?
I actually am leaning towards Halo Infinite getting it. Forza Horizon 5 will score much better but it might not be the type of game that can win. I think the big change to the campaign style will help boost the score as well as the positive reception it has received lately.
If Horizon does in fact get delayed to 2022 which I believe it will, 2021 IS Halo Infinite’s year to lose because Microsoft, 343 Industries and the Halo franchise will never ever get an easier opportunity to be the general consensus for overall game of the year.

Horizon II is not missing 2021. Book it.

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t consider The Game Awards to be the be all end all. When I say game of the year, I mean the overwhelming general consensus. I use gameawards.net because it takes every site, majority of youtube channels and reader’s picks into account.
I see Forza Horizon 5 winning sports/racing game of the year, Psychonauts 2 winning platformer of the year, Rift Apart winning adventure game of the year, Flight Simulator winning simulation/RTS game of the year over Age of Empires IV.
Overall game of the year IS Halo Infinite’s to lose.
P.S. - Like your prediction with Abandoned, your Horizon 2 prediction of it releasing this year will also turn out to be wrong.

No, Horizon II was already scheduled to launch H1 of 2021 (it might have even been a launch title pre-COVID) that was delayed to H2 2021 after COVID delay. Granted it’s probably a huge game with tons to do, but Sony bought an entire studio (Nixxes) to help bring it home.
They probably have tons of other studios not working on games working on it was well. Additionally, Aloy comes to Genshin in October. It’s not getting delayed.
So therefore, my GOTY list stands with Horizon II taking the big prize but Halo Infinite and FH5 picking up some Geoff awards, more so than last year with the addition of games like Flight Sim and and Psychonauts 2.
Launch title??? First half 2021??? That’s hilarious. Pre-Covid, I have always said February 2022 to celebrate it’s 5th year anniversary. Nixxes is for PC ports which has nothing to do with Horizon 2 and if that ends up on PC day one, it’s 1000% 2022.
