How insane will you go if it’s based in the Gears universe? Halo Wars was new ip, Gears Tactics was a new ip.

It’s an episodic walking sim where you play as a couple of (sad) civilians on Sera.

We discussed that, Grubb said many things, but now it could a final confirmation of new game besides Gears at The Coalition

I mean he directly said that the Coalition was working on a small scale IP in order to familiarize themselves with UE5…

I expect something a bit bigger than Hivebusters (taking into account, the 2023 release date), which was honestly I’m all for… while short, it had quality narrative on par with the mainline Gears games throughout.

Gears best days are behind it imo and Coalition are more than capable of creating something brand new and awesome

If the IP didn’t sell well or the number of active players was below expectations… i think so, Turn10 would do something other than Forza. in addition, Turn10 is helping PG in Fable. an action RPG that has nothing to do with a racing game.

It could a thriller shooter for example with some agent working for the government and some local Asian mafia working with drugs, human trafficking, organ trade. Very complex and mature story with many layers and decision options for many paths.

The IP is slated for release in 2023 and is relatively small scale, but will fully utilize UE5… so obviously he wasn’t referencing the Alpha Point tech demo which won’t be playable to the public and will shown later this month.
