I wonder if thatās from DX11 to DX12 switch or they found other ways to optimize for CPUs.
Edit: this was other ways to optimize for CPU and memory use. This does NOT include the DX12 update, which should help out too.

That will be a bigger perf jump.
UPDATE: This update has improved the performance from 30fps to 60fps due to efficient CPU core utilisation. Also they have said the dx12U version will be released after Xbox version.

Sim Update 5 did not improve CPU core utilisation. If you watch the video at the 2 minute mark, all 8 cores of his dev machine where already running almost 100% in Sim Update 4. They really improved the code to get better performance.
I donāt think switching to Dx12 will improve performance that much.
