well it depends if horizon forbidden west launches on or before the 20th of November since sony games are heavily favored for the award, ratchet and demon souls will be up there as well.

GOTY 2022 is BOTW2 vs God Of War Sequel vs Starfield.

Elden Ring will win this one.

Sony will have Tsushima expansion, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Deathloop timed and third party multi-platform games. They don’t need Horizon 2 and chances are Guerrilla will want a few extra months. February 2022 is my guess. 5th year anniversary.

BOTW 2 is going to be Fall 2022 and I wouldn’t be shocked to see it and GOWR slip to 2023. Starfield is winning 2022 GOTY.

4. Gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer Award
5. Best Sony PlayStation Game

DOOM Eternal is getting the XSX update tomorrow, man am I glad I waited with playing it. It should look crazy with raytracing, ar 1800p and 60fps.

Miles Morales took me 25 hours to complete around 90% of the game while Rift Apart took me 30 hours to complete 98% of the game (one damn collectible wouldn’t “pop”) so overall, 55 hours and the total cost for me was $70 after trading both of them in.

If people are speed running through games in a few hours, it’s because they’re skipping all the story cinematics and playing on easy mode which to be honest at that point, why even play the game(s) to begin with?

I can’t disagree more with your take on this.

First: If a person wants to play a game on easy mode for whatever reason that shouldn’t diminish the experience or value of the game.

Secondly, I beat miles morales in about 9 or 10 hours and my wife beat rift part in 12 - 14 hours approximately. Those are pretty average completion times. I would consider your case an outlier than normal. As yes, people do trophy hunting and try to 100% games but it’s not the majority and shouldn’t be considered typical.

The original poster’s opinion was what i would take to be the typical PlayStation game experience. the average gamer isn’t getting 25 hours to 30 hours out of miles morales and rift apart.
