I mostly hope MS learns from Bethesda how important mods can be on PC.
I think MCC, AoE games, Flight Sim are fully moddable on pc. If they can enable mods on Forza it would be huge, Assetto Corsa and iRacing are popular on pc for this reason, but I have some doubts because of licenses, MS wouldnât geopardize its relationships with car makers at any cost. They not among the worst publishers with mods imo.
I know itâs a waste of money (I donât NEED it) but I just bought a Series S to go with my Series X. I had an old console to trade into Game and got a series S for a measly ÂŁ10. I couldnât resist. I love my X but the S is soooo cool to look at. I basically got a free console when I traded it in to get a new Series controller.
The lilâ companion console
I was thinking about getting one, but I managed to get a second Series X instead. Is it insane to get a third console?
Its never insane Mort
Why stop at 3?
Haha, encouraging the insanity I see
I think eventually Ill try to snag myself and S for traveling purposes and such but dont see the need right now.
Nope⌠I donât want to admit how many Series consoles we have at this point but I have a Series S in my office and itâs a beautiful little beast. Had a One X up here but the other improvements like Auto-HDR and FPS (and ridiculously small energy consumption) make the few tradeoffs worth it.
âTravelling purposesâ , thatâs it! The perfect excuse.
Haha nice
I have a few xboxes in my home. a One X in my daughters room. A launch xbox one in my living room mainly for movie apps and games my wife likes like mincraft sims etc. I have a series x in my office and I plan on getting a series X because I travel for work and a lot of times am not home on the weekends. Series consoles fit my lifestyle well. I couldnât lug a ps5 arround and the ps cloud storage system sucks. xbox just works no matter what box your on
If it makes you do it, know that you will always have my respect for doing so.
Microsoftâs renewed focus on cloud gaming is similarly aimed at making games more accessible to people who donât have or want a gaming console or computer. The companyâs next big goal is to create âcloud-native games,â Wyse said. âWe donât know exactly what that looks like today, or what that even plays like.â
To help envision the answer to that question, Portal and Left 4 Dead developer Kim Swift will join the Xbox Cloud Gaming team as a senior director. Swift was most recently a game design director at Google Stadia. âKim is going to build a team focused on new experiences in the cloud, something thatâs going to support our mission of bringing our Xbox games to connect 3 billion gamers to play our games,â said Wyse. It seems to align strangely with what Kojima would like to do for his game
If I think about it, itâs not that strange at all
I remember her as the young prodigy and now she is a veteran developer that has moved around alot. Hope her stay at MS is a long and fruitful one.
Kim Swift, worked on Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead and headed the development team for the original Portal.
Xbox really stacking themselves with talent.
Jim Ryan said they were throwing money away thoughâŚ
