If it’s any consolation, I’m confident A Forza will launch.

I unlocked my first achievement the 29th of September. Ultimate Edition, so you are both right

if it’s meh then advice anyone to stay out internet Craig part 2 will be back, as for MP will bring big numbers and hope they will not butcher it with stupid decision like grind fest or heavy monetization

I can’t see it being FM, so that leaves FH5. I’d love to drive around in Mexico while in real life it’s cold outside, haha.

hmm i thinking 2023 for this one with spring or summer release

you will not escape coldness if they implemented seasons feature in this game as well

Hellblade is definitely more 2023 than 2022 at this point I think what with Covid impacting mocap, UE5 being behind and the fact what Jeff has said about Xbox wanting it to be a 'visual showpiece. ’

My neighbor also said Xbox wants it to be a visual showpiece. However, the rest is why I also think it’s a 2023 game.

i think it’s time to invest in house engines, you can’t always rely on 3P

I’d swap Omen and Hellblade 2 tbh, but we’ll have to see.

I’m really unsure how far along FM is. We know they’ve talked about rebooting since 2018. We know it was simultaneously early development but also in engine last year. We know they are in closed door public flighting now.

It’s a weird one that is hard to place.

All things considered, I want Horizon 5 more than Motorsport due to preference for open world and simcade over track and simulator, but I’ll play what I’m given. Great series.

The platform-thingie might lend itself to an early access/barebone kinda release?

i guess i will take Phil words for this one he himself said the game early in development

They could Game Preview it conceivably. The other question is truly one of how much work needs to be done. Forza is fantastic as is and even if the models need updating, I think the AI, Animations, Tracks (due to being based on preexisting layouts), etc. Part of the reason both PG and T10 got Forza games out at such a regular click is because they have a great foundation to begin with and I hope with T10’s overhaul it makes things easier instead of possibly inadvertantly breaking something making it harder.

It’s been discussed before but developers should be able to choose what engine they use and not forced upon them. UE is ubiquitous throughout the industry, is adaptable and tons of developers are intimate with it which helps recruitment and also outsourcing.

But regardless of that, we are also talking about UE here which has some of the best engineers in the business working on it, so if they are running into difficulties than anyone can and just because you have internal engines doesn’t mean you escape running into difficulty with engine development and for that I point you to the Slipspace engine as an example.
