Knowing you have that in the not to distant pipeline is more valuable than finding a way to move it up, when that move could risk pissing off some very valuable partners/empolyees who are also in charge of some other valuable IP’s

I really think some people here just badly want a new Fallout game, prefurably from guys that did New Vegas. So they are trying to form the bests arguments they can to try to will it in to existence

Just debate from a business view and what Nadella has said about IP driving XGP subs.

We’re Netflix and we’ve acquired the rights to Marvel and Star Wars for the purpose of growing our subscriber base. But we’re just going to focus on producing one of the two, don’t want to be too hasty lol. There isn’t a brand to maintain, fans to keep a grip on, money to be made.

I doubt they should be pumping out new fallout every 3 years. One game every 5 years would be more and maybe branching a second team from BGS should suffice or go with the current dev cycle. With so many popular ips under microsoft, they can rotate between them without any issues

Hindle they can he honored all they want but BGS would need to be ok with it and I doubt they want anyone (namely Obsidian) putting out a Fallout before them. Its all optics and pride from their perspective.

But we’re not talking about making movies versus games, it’s an analogy. You’re supposed to extrapolate the logic from the premise and apply it to the subject at hand. It’s one thing if we disagree and another if we’re just in two entirely different plains of thinking within reason.

I can set a lot of people off ready, here is the summer track list. I’m sure I’m probably missing some.

• Halo has to be great otherwise it’s dead
• E3 has to show something amazing otherwise what’s the point
• Fallout must be made every 36 months otherwise they will lose money
• E3 won’t be good enough they need to do more
• Xbox needs to show gameplay and not CGI
• Xbox needs to show everything they’re working on for the next 7 years but no CGI
• Game Pass needs to go on Switch
• Why should Game Pass go on Switch if Xbox gets nothing in return that’s unfair
• Xbox should make studios work on X game and pull them from Y game
• The Coalition should stop making Gears games and work on something else

We pretty much have this on repeat

This is a huge deal that we probably won’t see from the outside. Being able to email someone from a best in the genre studio to ask about something and talk about how they designed something, this is really cool. I can’t wait for the colabs like Halo x DOOM.

I dont know if they would crucify me for saying this, maybe have something like play as doom guy in halo infinite like how Bautista was marcus phoenix, or play as chief in the next Doom. Dont hate me XD
