If those folks can’t find the “right” content for them on Xbox and/or Game Pass then why are they here trying to bring the rest of us down?

That’s a rhetorical question and definitely doesn’t need an answer. :joy:

I’m in this for the excitement of speculating about what’s going to happen, not complaining about what hasn’t happened yet. The games coming out now are, for the most part, the result of work that started 4-8 years ago. Some of the games coming out now from XGS studios came to Microsoft with contractual obligations (ex. We Happy Few, The Outer Worlds, Psychonauts 2, Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo). Those studios will likely be making Xbox-ecosystem exclusives games moving forward.

A pandemic radically rocked the industry. The Xbox exclusives are coming but it’s important to remember that what we’re going to see over the next 1-2 years reflect work that mostly started within the last 4-8 years. Phil’s leadership role only expanded within the last couple of years. A flood of big-time exclusives is inevitable. We’ve got plenty to play between now and then. And if you prefer to exclusively play on a PS4/PS5 until XGS has a more reliable pipeline then that’s well within your right. Let the rest of us enjoy what we’ve got and enjoy speculating on what’s coming.

Yea we are 4 weeks I believe

Yup

Same here!!! It’s just so damn well made, and amazing how well it holds up! 2 has been in development for quite a while, I’d say that’s very promising! Can’t wait to see what this brilliant mind of Schafer and team will do for future Xbox projects.

Yeah, it’s those kinds of things that really make you say…how did they come up with this. Truly unique and no other 3D platformer is like this.

Oh nice, I actually just met Bonaparte just now, sounds very promising then! Yeah the interactions are great. Those adventure elements really give it that little extra that no other platformers have. With 2 I want to go in completely fresh. Not even reading reviews when they arrive. That’s why a shadow drop would be so good.

With Game Pass there’s almost no reason not go to completely fresh if you enjoy that kind of experience. No upfront risk means you can go as blind as possible to the game, and I love that.

I’m about to Watch Xboxera Revisits Xbox E3 2003

If there isn’t any gameplay of Fable, Ninja Gaiden and Jade Empire, plus a deep dive on Halo 2 and a Starwars: Knights of the Old Republic shadowdrop, I will be VERY disappointed

And if anyone says I’m complaining I will strawman the shit out of them and call them a shill

Well then, if there was ever any doubt that this man was legit…he knows what he’s talking about for damn sure. MS made the right call, this is definitely how you grow a service that is already sublime. As for TES VI, they’d be nuts not to keep that locked in the ecosystem now.

I think with this first move of Starfield exclusive they are showing what the future will be. Had Grubb said Starfield is also for PS5 then I would start to doubt what would happen with TES VI. There’s only one way Sony gets these games too and that’s by allowing Game Pass on there. I’ve no idea how Sony operates, what they think and if they are truly willing to miss out on those big franchises.

But them allowing GP is not just only Bethesda games, it’s all of XGS, it’s tons of games not by XGS. Doubt we’ll see this happen ever.

Microsoft has always been a service-focused company. Game Pass is 100% in their wheelhouse. It makes sense to acquire great developers, let them make great software, and build out a first-of-its-kind service to take control of the zeitgeist before anyone else can. That’s significantly more valuable to them than any PS5 sales they’d get.
