Xbox Game Studios |OT4| This is for Studio talk. Studios. It's the Studios OT. Studio talk here (Part 1)

I’m sticking with my prediction from late last year. Starfield gets a story trailer and gameplay trailer around 8-12 minutes total. March 2022 release date. I also would think that at E3, Spencer in particular would announce that they’ll bring back X021 later this year and more details will hit in late summer/early fall. Starfield can be at X021 getting a 30 minute presentation since the game would release a few months later. Same as what they’ve normally done in the past but with a few more months of hype and marketing. Either way, as long as I get a solid gameplay trailer at E3, I will be more than happy.

Yeah, I’m just staying away from the XGS thread mainly.

So much angst and consternation over what is essentially a marketing special. I know we all have a love and passion for the industry but please don’t get so worked up as to start fighting over something that’s only a few weeks away.

Maybe at x021 they tease the first story expansion for halo as well since its a platform for the franchise like halo mcc is

Yeah, it holds up extremely well. I’ve started playing last week and I’m hooked, can’t put it down. I was definitely expecting some things to feel dated, nope! Also this is one of those games I’m going to 100%, collecting it all, it’s worth it. Story is surprisingly great.

That level is crazy. I watched this video today and I highly recommend it. It sounds like the makers of this level truly nailed it. In how they made the feeling of a person experiencing a psychosis very realistic.

I’m expecting X021 (if it happens) to be late October. So my guess would be an hour showcase. 20 minutes of Halo Infinite since it would be a few weeks away at this point, Everwild gameplay trailer premiere (since I don’t expect it to be at E3 and this is the perfect middle game) and then a 30 minute blowout of Starfield.

At least, this is what I would do and for me, an easy decision.

Grubb speaks. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

"Microsoft likely did investigate what its financials would look like if it made Bethesda games exclusive or not. In the end, it chose exclusivity. And yes, that means it will miss out on money from sales on PlayStation 5. But the point is that Microsoft doesn’t see that as losing money — it sees that as built in marketing for Game Pass. And then it also expects to offset many of those costs by building a deeper relationship with more players who then go on to play and buy even more games on Xbox platforms.

So yes, Starfield is exclusive. And I would predict that Xbox would make this call for The Elder Scrolls VI and beyond."

" I’ve separately confirmed that this situation applies to Starfield through sources familiar with the decision."

Awesome video! All of that definitely comes across when you’re playing the level. I can’t wait to see how they try to up the creativity and ambition with the sequel!

And some people thought that Microsoft surely couldn’t throw away all the work done on the PS5 version so far.

The message was clear when Phil Spencer said that Xbox games will exist where Game Pass exists and with Jeff Grubb confirming that Starfield is not coming to PlayStation that should hopefully burst the bubble of anyone who were holding out hope that Bethesda’s games will still release on PlayStation.

We recently posted a video of us reacting to the E3 2003 Xbox Press Conference. It really highlights how far the event has come and evolved over the years.

The collectibles are fucking hilarious. Figments (of your imagination). Cobwebs. Emotional baggage, lmao.

You collect Mental health to regain HP

Yeah, growing Xbox is the logical conclusion, not growing the playerbase for the game or gaining PlayStation money, money was never the problem.

I’m sure there’s still some in denial. lol

I recently beat Psychonauts for the first time in my life, and i never expected it to be THAT good. It was just brilliant from start to finish, the gameplay, the interactions with the characters and the environments, and yes, the creativity in the levels. The milkman level may be one of my most favorite ever, along with the one with Bonaparte. Such a great game !
