From my perspective I think that before people played a lot on split screen because it was not common to play online, that has changed over time, now people play online all the time that when they meet with their friends it is to do another type of things, at least that’s what I see in my environment so I don’t want to generalize. I’m glad for you that 343 has decided to bring back the split screen and you can continue playing with your son, although I personally would have preferred that those resources were occupied elsewhere, I do not play in split screen from the xbox 360. I think a group of people will always end up disappointed with this decision.

Yeah, splitscreen is a waste of resources. Esp. if it impacts the game negatively in performance etc. Even if I play with others at home, multiple screens is preferable. Splitscreen is not fun and was only a thing because there weren’t that many options.
