I’d argue that depending on E3 reception, MS might launch it this year.
Sorry pal
The coffee/latte runner for Suckerpunch told me that one is 2024 now
If Todd howard is confirmed present at E3 and a long presentation is planned…
You can more or less guarantee Starfield will be releasing late 2021/or within the first few months of 2022.
We should remember that Sony saw Starfield, and what they saw was good enough for them to try and get it as a exclusive.
If they are on the polishing phase, I can see it being released this year, with Halo Infinite and AoE 4 for 2021, while FH 5 goes to Q1 2022… This would send a strong statement from MS after the lackluster launch/6 months of the SX/S, while also changing the narrative of “Only Halo, Gears and Forza”.
Literally just about this.
Maybe we’re getting more than just the one XGP project and the Xbox + Kojima XGP project?
Maybe that dragon game Jez was teasing?
XGS topic ?
Yep
That would be a surprise are we thinking blue dragon 2 or game of thrones or something else entirely?
The dragon game is a new IP. Not Got.
Interesting
Did someone mention blue dragon? I’m here to discuss…
A Mandalorian game by The Coalition. I want it.
New and exciting projects, unannounced stuff then. It’s much better to introduce a game and being able to actually show something tangible but it is what it is. Some gameplay mixed in would make a world of difference for sure. Games during Nintendo and Sony streams can…hopefully Xbox can too. I guess it all depends on how early the game is in development.
But those are just the unannounced things, there’s also previously announced stuff, let’s see what we’re gonna get in terms of that. But maybe if a game is just so far off it’s better not to show anything yet, I don’t know.
KhatarsisT?
You are forgetting Wolfenstein 3 and Arkane Austin’s new IP which are probably 2021-2022 games too.
Clearly Nate means a Crackdown 4 CGI trailer.
While Halo is of course the flagship title, synonymous with the Xbox brand itself for a lot of us the new era, no pun intended, of Xbox gaming greatness isn’t really going to begin until a new heavyweight IP like Starfield drops.
So even though there is going to be a slew of great games to play while we wait, Starfield being 11 months out would be rough.
There’s no way starfield is a fall 2022 considering everything we have heard recently
