am I missing something? Why would matt booty write about windows store changes?
Ah⦠Thereās the mystery!
Anything juicy on RDX tonight?
Dealer is mumbling incoherently while reading superchats almost non-stop. So thatās new
ā¦wait, no. Thatās every week
They think infinite will move huge numbers
I was listening but had to turn it off. I donāt feel like those guys are very well informed, or at least some of them.
Firstly one guy was saying that gamepass doesnāt have 22 million active subs. He said that was how many people have ever tried the service. No one corrected him.
I think they have a show thatās good for normal people who donāt sit on forums like us. But if you want real info I think itās best to watch grubb, and jez n rands show.
I agree with your basic point, but donāt think you are correct on the specific gamepass topic. Iām pretty sure they were making fun of people who think 22 million is the is the total number who have ever tried the service.
They generally mix sarcasm very carefully in their podcasts based on what the ps defence force has been saying. Unless you are used to them talkimg, you might miss it. All of them are usially well informed.
Is it possible Booty will announce pc gamepass coming to steam?
The guy was legit saying that. He said by the end of the year the cumulative subs will be 30 million, and active subs will be around 20 million.
I donāt get why people do this. Please show me the company of any kind that uses cumulative users and not active users as its user count. Nobody does this. Itās always active users.
Stop it please.
No one talked about cumulative subs. No source for thatš¤¦
That would make a lot of sense actually wasnāt there a rumor that valve was interested?
Hmm. The word ācumulativeā is wrong in any context, if one of the panel members on RDX is using the term that way.
Should be total users right now + active users right now. If it is at 30M total & 20M active by the end of the year, it is a very very good ratio, btw. People expect the total to be close to 30-35M by the end of the year.
Any āCumulativeā figure would be since 2017. No one uses that term and it seriously makes zero sense. Only the PS defence force (aka PS troll army) uses it.
It can be hard to listen to at times.
Which studios do you think are going to step up big time since they have joined MS?
For me I think that Undead Labs, InXile and Compulsion will make the jump into AAA games, and I think Turn 10 are going to blow minds when they show off Forza MS 8.
When Undead Labs got bought out they had around 50 employees, and now its around 110-120. I think that when SOD 3 is shown, it wonāt be too far off the CGI trailer.
InXile are said to be working on a AAA WRPG, and this should give them an ability to show off those sexy shaders. Again they have gone from around 70 employees to around 110 to 120.
And my smokie for biggest upgrade is going to be Complusion Games. I can just see their next game wowing people.
If @Klobrille is accurate, no new info this year.
I donāt think 22 millions + are cumulative to be honest, MS never used that.
Generally, where has this cumulative theory come from? I donāt know any company who goes by what the cumulative figure for a subscription service is because guess what, they are not getting money from that user anymore. It is why you only hear about active users.
I think it was from the latest RDX Podcast, where one members said something like that.
