I think 2/3 of them will. I think Avowed is the one that misses the year but we will see. I also think Gears 6 will be out in 2022.
Obsidian is one of the studios that has been deving this for a long time and has grown a lot since the acquisition, IMO the only way I can see it getting delayed is if something really bad happen to the world, related do Covid.
Avowed will be the last game from XGS of 2022, they have plenty of time still.
I know weâve been waiting a while on the exclusives faucet to go from a drip to a constant flow but weâre in the middle of a pandemic. I think a lot of folks here need to cut the developers some slack and not get your hopes up for tons of 2021/2022 first-party releases. Iâll just be happy with whatever we get because 2023 on is going to practically be nonstop.

Saw that tweet and I agree (not necessarily that a new Viva Piñata is in development but I think itâs coming back at one point).
Itâs not a rumor, just speculation on why a new VP would make sense (P.S.: I donât think the Viva Piñata poster in the Series X Fridge trailer means anything. It was just some old posters from 2006-2007 in a hangar (Viva Piñata, PGR4 and Flight Simulator X).
Once xCloud is out of Beta and is deployed in more countries and more platforms (iOS/TV/PC in addition of Android), a new Viva Piñata with a refined formula, more community/online options and touch controls on mobile/tablet (and maybe some AR features ?) would be a great game to promote it.
Anyway, the piñatas need to return. There is no debate.

I think Gears 6 will take longer than usual⊠they will support Gears 5 yet and according to rumors, IP is undergoing changes. maybe they will stop numbering the series. just âGearsâ or âGears of Warâ

I like when games have original titles instead of numbers. I just assumed they would be on a 3 year dev cycle still.

I guess gears 6 is possible in 2022. Coalition is extremely efficient. Though making the game in 3 years with COVID seams like a stretch. Most likely it will be 2023.

They ainât gonna reboot Gears or anything now when they havenât even concluded the ongoing story. It will be Gears 6, and I expect it to be the grand finale for the new trilogy. Iâm not sure what will happen afterwards, but Iâm thinking they might move on to a new IP (but letâs not discuss this again please).

I want more horror in the series. I think playing as a civilian trying to escape a city during an invasion or battle could be super interesting. Limited ammo and weapons and super vulnerable to any type of enemy. I think that could make for a really cool game set in that universe.

Thereâs been so much Xbox news since the Series X/S launch, I donât see how anyone could think that itâs quiet when itâs not. Two months away from E3 and two showcases (Microsoft/Bethesda) incoming, thereâs really no reason for Microsoft to start announcing anything now unless itâs something that releases before E3 because why not just hold it for the events?
Since E3 2018, when it comes to Microsoftâs first party studios that theyâve acquired, I have always said â2022â at the earliest because when you research them all, that seems the earliest year for their games to start hitting. And this doesnât even count Bethesda.
Also doesnât include Covid which obviously has slowed down game development considerably. When you see games get delayed a full year if not more despite having a release year or actual date, then you know, game development is going anything but smoothly.
I canât speak for anyone else but for me personally, im not worried, concerned or even anxious because when I have already waited soon to be three years, whatâs really an extra year give or take?
I want the exclusives to be amazing and content complete day one. Not rushed or this or that. Let them all take their time so we get the best possible game at launch.
As for now, im still playing Outriders and looking forward to Resident Evil VIII: Village in three weeks so I have new games to play and two games in my backlog to complete so im definitely good. Iâm just hoping for solid gameplay trailers at E3 and I will be a very happy camper even if I donât get a single release date from anything thatâs not coming this year.

Iâm at the same point. I just finished Outriders. My goal is to finish Outer Worlds before Resident Evil comes out. Im more excited to see whatâs on Gamepass this month than anything else, which means the service is doing its job.
Very true. While im not expecting it to happen, im hoping that RE 8 somehow gets on Game Pass day one!!! That would be awesome!!!
Iâm day one either way but that would be crazy! And save me some cash.
