At this point it’s not even a meme, Xbox to buy Kojima prod.
I know he probably just likes the game but it just makes even more funny because he can’t confirm or deny it

Probably linked to this:
Join Xbox Game Studios as an innovative leader and help us achieve our mission to reach over 3 billion gamers.
We are seeking a Senior Director, Cloud Gaming to shape and drive a new initiative focused on making great games designed for the cloud. You will partner with external developers to create a roadmap for producing new game products, plus building an internal team to navigate relationships between partner teams within Xbox and Microsoft, bringing new cloud-based technologies into our games.

It would not surprise me if Phil likes a laugh like anyone else and put that Kojima statue there on purpose.
Or…
They really are buying the studio, lol. Nah.
Sony on the other hand…
100k player battle royale could you just imagine that.
Crimson skies cloud powered game, open world PvPvE hundreds of players, faction warfare with continental control. Made by Project Aces.
Fund it.
oh my i would buy the collectors edition if that was even remotely true or even get project ACES to remake Crimson Skies i’ll take either one.
Indeed just a Crimson Skies made by Project Aces would make me pretty happy already.
wait cloud exclusive games?
I think that will be a thing when cloud gaming inevitably becomes the number one way to consume games. So, then devs would start building cloud native games but that future is still a way off.
Hahaha. Me too!!! I skipped BOCW though since im just fatigued on COD after playing 5 of them in a span of three years.
I am pretty sure we are already playing a lot of games that require internet connection. So it will be seemless in the end.
Its similar stuff to what Google was talking about with cloud exclusive games enabling things impossible otherwise. Also ability to scale hardware use up and down.
More like 2022 in general will be stacked. I believe that Elden Ring, Gotham Knights, Dying Light 2, Horizon 2, Hogwarts Legacy and who knows what else will all be 2022. I’m expecting a 10 game year for me this year (2021) but a 20 game year for me in 2022.
This has to be like the Surface product line. Show third parties the way.
Game devs are ridiculously closed minded. At least most of them are. You will need XGS games to show the way first – like seasons with Killer Instinct.
Everyone was all over it, but now it is considered quite normal.
The issue there is Google closed their own technology demonstrators down. That is, their first party was supposed to show-off this stuff. They did not back it up with intent.
Open world games in general are great but sometimes you can be “too big”. Valhalla is just freaking massive to where it’s overdone. WD Legion and Immortals are much smaller and don’t overstay their welcome.
I love both open world and linear games but it has more to do with what game it is and type of game. Some games simply shouldn’t be open world.
100%
I personally think Ubisoft need to just look at what made Origins great and copy that for the scope of the world/story in regards to AssCreed. I got no interest in the franchise right now if we keep following the Valhalla/Odyssey template.
The problem with Ubisoft that while they scale their world they scale their open world framework, but don’t make the world enjoyable - they just add more of the same.
It is like the bigger the map, the more towers
I did love Odyssey though. And Origins. Valhalla though has way too many gameplay issues for me compared to the last two and it’s annoying the hell out of me to where I put it on hold for the time being. If anything, im more interested in the two expansions for Valhalla than I currently am for the base game.
