I hope they have some kind of low gravity mechanic. I think off Call of Duty Infinite Warfare kinda systems
This is what I suspect of Starfield:
-
Open Worlds, not Open World. Think Outer Worlds but where that game had open areas lacking connection, this game will have 3-4 different planets or maps and a main citadel.
-
Vehicles. I think they will try to finally add vehicles in a meaningful way. No more train heads.
-
Hard science, light fiction. While aliens are a given, Iām thinking aesthetically we are talking more NASA less Galaxy Far Far Away
-
Music by Inon Zur. Trailer sounds just like him and Souleās rep is ruined.
-
Old Dialogue System, Voiced Protag. I think they are gonna try for the best of both here. Voiced protagonist, maybe even multiple voices, but the old dialogue system.
-
Better visuals and animation (they overhauled both systems so likely)
-
Better gunplay
-
Deep lore and environmental storytelling
i think it would be like a bethesda version of No man sky with extensive quest and excellent combat in space and on land hopeful for some big battles in space like how they did the battle of scarif in space was awesome and great Cinematography.
Would love being able to fly some ships too.
This would make me really excited. One of the reason I like the Halo UNSC aesthetics as well.
I doubt she knows anything here. I put more stock in what Jeff Grub has been saying, he seemed pretty confident and heās been right on the money last year with his leaks. Also Matty, who possibly knows more too says he believes it.
But if not, sm fucking h! But letās keep that discussion for the specific thread.

Yes Fallout 4 had a voiced character.
ah yes, i remember now
Ok ok, Starfield is going to be something else⦠But what about Arkane? What are your hopes for their next game? Being it vampire themed or Prey 2 or Dishonored 3, Iām all in.
No matter what⦠when the news start dropping weāre about to beā¦

It was the game of last generation for me.
Even though Prey and Dishonored are really good franchises, IMO, I do hope it is the vampire game. There arenāt enough good vampire games, itās my own personal preference of course, but I could never understand why zombies blew up to be the ubiquitous, beloved antagonists for so many games and shows and movies instead of vampires.
Okay. That sounds good.
Wow.
Really excited to see more of what Starfield is about. Hoping for a more realistic science-based space setting similar to something like The Expanse. Iām cool with aliens but hopefully it doesnāt go too far with them. I also like it when the setting has some mystery and isnāt too simple. Based on their past games, they know how to do world building really well so Iām very optimistic. There hasnāt been a Bethesda game that I havenāt loved.
So aside from top brass at Bethesda and Microsoft, who would possibly know what the deal with is exclusivity at this current moment?
We got Karakās tweet, and some vague stuff from Danny and Parris that could be taken either way.
Who would really know?
Although Iām have expecting Jason Schrier to post an article tomorrow explaining everything with sources from inside both companies.
Iām not sure this is necessarily a fair comparison since this was right when Final Fantasy XVI was announced.
With that said, I think she is being a bit wishy washy when it comes to this stuff (like many members of the gaming media are). Its funny, even Colin Moriarty thinks Xbox is getting lambasted for the stupidest things that Sony obviously does too (and to a worse extent).
I will never forget Rise of the Tomb Raiderās reaction vs. Street Fighter V. And I will never forget when we get Bethesda/Zenimax news.
Iām excited for competition, honestly. Both among the first party companies and the studios within (as well as the lessons they can learn from one another, which I think will really help Undead Labs and Compulsion a lot).
This is a pattern though.
