I hope Gears 6 goes above and beyond on it’s scope. I imagine bigger open world filled with world bosses that can be fought on foot or using vehicles like tanks or choppers. Ruins with claustrophobic enviroments, making it hard to pick cover and often putting you on melee range of enemies. Speaking of melee have multiple characters with varied skill sets: special weapons and grenades, melee combat with combos and engineering with robots and gadgets.

Hope that they make it a grand game, I’m sure they will.

Open-world is not the direction I’d prefer.

Yeah I’d rather something linear with Gears. I loved Hivebusters, would like to see that direction taken again.

I understand, but I think it could work done right. What are your ideas for a Gears 6?

I think Gears campaign is at it’s best when there is a horror/survival encounters. I also do like the heavy action content, but I do admit the open world did feel out of place in the gears series

This. I didnt mind the open world, but it shouldve been filled with more areas/content/sidequests

I didn’t like the open world segments in gears 5 at all. I felt like there should have been a map with markers and you just go there kind of like mass effect. I loved gears 4 because to me it was just gears concentrated. Corridor shooting with nice set pieces. Also why I like hivebusters. If they do have open world segments in gears 6 I hope they are just like uncharted lost legacy where there is a lot to do in a smaller open area. Just my opinion

I just wish Coalition does a second IP aside from Gears eventually cause I want to see what they can cook up. Technically excellent studio with super great gameplay.

I just wish Coalition does a second IP aside from Gears eventually cause I want to see what they can cook up. Technically excellent studio with super great gameplay.

I do wonder if Microsoft will split the studio into 2 teams because you never know what a studio can create once they step out of their comfort zone. Just look what Sony’s first party studios did the past 2 gens and were able to create new IP hits.

Id love to see it cause I dont think Coalition gets the credit they deserve right now since to many all they make is “another Gears”.

This is what I want 343 and Coalition to do not stop working on Halo or Gears but make another team for new or old Ips

The Xbox Series X is a seriously sleek and sexy piece of hardware. I just can’t get over how good and small it looks in person.

As people pointed out Gears works best when the levels have horror elements to it. There are some really cool moments in Gears 5. Like the whole Ice level and when we get in to the lab followed by the boss fight.

Entire section oozes atmosphere and gave me the chills.
