Iāll bet a month of GP, that we will see Fallout Obsidian before Outer Worlds 2.
Fallout Obsidian is MUCH more in demand that TOW2.
Iām not saying Microsoft demands them to do it, but I could see a come-to-Jesus meeting where Obsidian decides to either plow ahead with TOW2 or decide to refocus efforts of NV2.

I wouldnāt say theyāre both FPS, more that both are in the first person perspective. The āold oneā is the one about the Cherokee Indian that gets captured by aliens I believe, and is the one Iām referring to.
Imagine Arkane listening to some forum posters and not making a sequel to one of the coolest FPS games out there.

with lucasfilm opening up to licensing things again maybe obsidian wants to do a star wars rpg, bit of a fun fact but before they did KOTOR 2 they pitched a star wars rpg, but were asked to do a kotor sequel instead
Eh, weāll see what comes next. Bethesda will probably make Fallout 5 first and Obsidian will then use the engine, existing mechanics, assets and all that stuff to make their version of Fallout.
Fallout 5 probably wonāt happen anytime soon, so Leo and Tim should have enough time to make a new game before that.
Iām sure Leo and Tim will make at least one more Fallout.
Cant wait till this pivots to Microsoft making a Fallout only studio.
I think it would be a shame to drop The Outer Worlds so soon. Iām a big fan of that game & would love to see a sequel, after Avowed of course.
A new Fallout by Obsidian is not something that Iām clamouring for. I do get that Iām probably in the minority here.
It is an interesting situation though. I would imagine that Bethesda have plans for their own Fallout 5.

Its only some people here that think Obsidian NEEDS to drop their own successful IP to work on one that isnt theirs lol (while ignoring that Bethesda owns it).
Also Bethesda has every right to drop the next Fallout game whenever they want if they so desire so the notion that someone else needs to make another game has always striked me odd. We have gotten 4 games in the series since 2008 and all are very accessible so I dont see the rush.

Thatās the case, but that started happening in early 2017. Their second team is already as big as the FH one now.
Unpopular opinion 
: i hope that FH5 is exclusive to the next generation. i want PG Studios to use all the power of the Xbox Series/PC to make a true Forza Horizon next-gen. even if its for 2022 or beyond.

Fallout New Vegas is one of my favorite games ever, and if Obsidian made a new Fallout game I would be there day one and expect the game to be great even though IMO the Fallout setting is now a limiter on how great a game can be within in, given the very specific post apocalyptic environment the game employs.
I like everything in The Outer Worlds better though, characters, story, and especially the setting. I get that many people were put off by the game tonally, and understand why they wouldnāt want to see another game especially if it is going to be similar thematically, but IMO the TOW setting has unlimited potential for storytelling and I hope that we get another game in it along with a juicy AAA budget to flesh out all aspects of the universe.
This is obviously just my personal opinion, but yes FNV 2 would sell more copies but TOW 2 would be a better game.

I think itās donāt make sense to do Xbox Series X/S exclusive for at least end of 2022.
According to VGC analyst, Switch is likely going to sell 24 millions units in december and PS5 + Xbox Series are going to sell close to 25 millions units. So if we assume PS5 is going to have 19 millions install base at the end of 2021 (15 millions units sold in 2021) and Xbox going to have likely 13 millions install base at the end of 2021 (10 millions units sold in 2021).
If you release a game only on Xbox SX/SS, only 13 millions people + likely 50% of steam user are able to buy your game (people with solid configuration for next gen only title). You can already divise the number of potential sales of your game by 2 because no game have a 50% attach rate on any platform and your game have a very low possibility of sales. For example, Sony didnāt give the number of Demonās souls, their only PS5 exclusive, according to Lestream on jeuxvideo.com, the game have likely sell 400k units. Itās because souls game have an attach rate of 5/10% of userbase, so if there is only 4,5 millions units sold, you canāt sold more Demonās souls.
Even if MS release their game on PC, a next gen game need a better configuration than most of the pc player have to play in decent condition, if not itās not a real next gen game. Thatās why I donāt understand why people want to cut the 55 millions Xbox one userbase. Microsoft is not going to lose 4/8 millions potentials Halo Infinite paid players on Xbox one (gamepass or people who buy the game) just to have a game a bit prettier on Series X and PC. Itās not worth it.
Until the userbase of Xbox Series players reach 25/30 millions players (likely at the end of 2022), the majority of XGS game need to be cross gen. Starfield, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Wolfenstein 3 and maybe other surprise, everything except Forza Motorsport which is going to be a pure showcase and likely release at the end of 2022
EDIT : I donāt think Hellblade 2 need to be cross gen, itās not a big blockbuster game with high budget even if the game have a great hype
