@Daniel think the new Forza that debuts the new engine is motorsport so unless FH5 just uses an upgraded version of the previous one then I dont see it coming out before Turn 10’s game.
The team that made Forza Horizon 1-4 pretty much all migrated to the Fable studio. This is why the Horizon team have been hiring like crazy. I’d also speculate that MS have given all thier core studios 5 years in dev. 343/TC/Turn 10/PG etc.
It doesn’t make sense to reveal Turn 10s Forza, which starts the marketing campaign but then release Horizon 5 and market that as well
Lots of talk about which studio could do the ki franchise. Mane6 made a randomly decadent horse themed fighting game. They could be worth looking in to.
I’m sticking with Forza Horizon 5 in September 2021 and Forza Motorsport being September 2022 and a platform. Forza Horizon 5 will be cross-gen and with the next game, they will be also be a platform. That’s my prediction.
That sounds logical I think horizon 5 and halo infinite are the last cross gen from first party from Xbox game studios
And Wolfenstein III.
Oh yeah forgot lol how could i
Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos DLC Coming Soon | Game Rant
Looks like The Outer Worlds’s second (and final) DLC is already coming in March.
Anyone think ray tracing is gonna get a real showcase when possibly Inexile release that steampunk game? That could really be the best test for xbox with that setting.
I think any cinematic game (aka Hellblade or the Compulsion game) will be a showcase of raytracing and visuals in general.
From what I’ve been hearing, the hardware of the new consoles might not be enough to really push ray tracing in the way that many of us expect, and that we should temper expectations. That said, I hope we get a RT stunner soon…I’m looking at you PG, NT, and TC!!!
The real showcase should be fully pathtraced Minecraft. I hope this doesn’t take the same road as the Super Duper Graphics Pack
Seems to be more and more the case. It’s probably either going to be RT but at 1440p and 30fps or without RT and at 60fps. With all these games lately at 60fps it’s not going to be fun to go back to 30fps.
On the other hand, Spidey MM is 1440p with 1080p RT and at 60fps if I’m not mistaken? Then for sure it can be done for a XSX game, and then some.
Forza horizon would most likely use the same engine as Fh4 with maybe upgrades that were ready.
Is there a source for this? I haven’t heard that all the Forza Horizon team have been moved off Horizon to make Fable.
That wasn’t Motorsport marketing it was Xbox Game Studios marketing, they weren’t trying to sell Forza it was to fill out the show. They said it is in early development too just like Hellblade 2, going by what you’re saying Hellblade 2 is out before horizon because it was shown first. Just because a game hasn’t been shown yet doesn’t mean it’s not ready. I’m pretty sure Forza Horizon has always been showed first at E3 then release that year in September ish.
It was the case with FH4, shown at E3 and released in September.
No there is no source for it, it is true that a decent number of the higher ups at playground are working on fable after having worked on forza horizon, but to say that all the team has moved over is simply incorrect. I imagine the hiring is to reduce playgrounds reliance on outsourcing, or to better meet the demands of producing a next gen game with a presumably larger amount of work required.
yeah forza horizon 4 already looks so good if they just added a few things to the engine they would be good, especially if forza horizon 5 is cross gen, which imo it likely is. I know the whole xbox one holding back next gen thing is a bit of a meme, but it could be true in horizons case, just because the full engine overhaul is likely waiting until xbox one is no longer supported. But if they had the horizon 4 engine with ray tracing? that would be awesome, plus they could just turn ray tracing off for the xbox one gen consoles and still have an awesome looking game.
This is also what I understood to have happened. It is slightly crazy to say the entire Horizon team migrated over to the Fable team. The reason why there is a lot of people being hired for the Forza team is because probably because they want it to be 200 people strong, which I imagine is a good deal more than what was there previously.
Playground had almost 100 positions open in December. When there was discussion about it people were indicating that was Playground ramping up the Fable development.
