It’s the better game and also the first in the series from a story standpoint. You’re introduced to the characters who you’ll continue to become further attached through as you make your way through the series. It’s an amazing, lengthy game, top to bottom.

Sumo is has been a MS partner for Forza Games since long. Most of the asset work is done by Sumo Digital. There are many other companies too, to whom the work is being outsourced.

well, that has already been explained above, i was just surprised that apparently its not that simple to put a game already released and ready on Steam. i asked just out of curiosity. 
I mean putting on steam doesn’t require asset rework. That back end work would probably be done by Playground or MS themselves. My answer was mostly for your question (Why did they hire an external studio). Might be that the Hot Wheels cars are made by Sumo (which they do make) or there might be some expansion coming after all.

I think it has more to do with the fact that MS store version is an UWP app that has to be converted Win32 executables for it to run on steam. And Playground probably didn’t have time to do it.
Late to the party but that Hellblade image was FIRE! Her hair looks amazing, I can’t believe people are putting “downgrade” tweets out - it looks phenomenal. Twitter is great for gaming stuff but anything Xbox related just gets unnecessary crap, it can get tiresome.

Good fighting games are not easy to make. I’d rather they go for devs with fighting game (or at least beat em up) experience, tbh.
The "downgrade " talk is from the usual dumbasses on Twitter embarrassing themselves. The sad thing is Ninja Theory posts it on Twitter to get a bunch of shit posting in the thread. Devs must shake their heads at “gamers” sometimes.

To the extent it’s a “downgrade”, that’s only because it looks like it may be in game tbh. Which is not remotely an issue, it looks fucking amazing.
Question on the Hot Wheels DLC expansion, why do people think there is a expansion coming because theres a Hot Wheels car pack coming. Forza Motorsport 7 has a Hot Wheels car pack yet obviously no expansion there.
I think it’s too soon for Horizon 5, and Turn 10s Forza is clearly coming next year.
What do you mean too soon? Forza Horizon 4 came out in 2018 this means this year it’ll be 3 years since the last one and Playground Games have released a new Horizon came every 2 years since 2012. Even if you take into account COVID they would’ve had an extra year than normal anyway, also they would’ve been in full production and should’ve been nearing the end of completion last year.
My guess would be COVID probably did screw up their 2020 plans and I think Forza Horizon 5 was supposed to launch last year with the console and Halo but got an unannounced delay. They probably knew it was being delayed before the showcase so they probably thought to just show “early development” of Forza Motorsport first to have something Forza related in the showcase.
Could you just imagine if they announced Forza Horizon 5 and delayed it then delayed Halo a couple of months later. I never really understood the whole reasoning behind it not coming this year because Motorsport was announced first, to me that is a really dumb reason.
I don’t think Motorsport is out this year because if they didn’t show gameplay in July last year and said it was in early development that means to me at least it’s probably 2022. So going by the logic that Forza Horizon must wait till Motorsport is ready because it got announced first means Forza Horizon won’t come out till 2023 which is 5 years after Forza Horizon 4.
What would the reason be behind having 3 years extra than every other title they’ve made, it just doesn’t add up. I also can’t really see 2 Forza games coming out in the same year that would also be weird imo, I wouldn’t mind it but surely it would be too much Forza because as it is people moan about how many Forza games there already are.
I think Forza Horizon 5 is for sure first.
