The problem with this is that the industry is in consolidation mode. Double helix did a great job with killer instincts but now where are they to do number 2. Iron galaxy could be doing it but unless it was an immediate go ahead to make a second one the studio isn’t going to wait for you. Also what happens if a studio is bought after making a successful ip reboot. Now do you go and reboot it again and find another studio. Best thing for Microsoft to do is get a studio like blueprint and have them rebooting old IPs.

I’m exciting to see the future of The Outer Worlds go into fruition. Would be quite amazing if they could utilize the Creation Engine for this one, any chance that we could have Todd Howard work as the executive producer now we know he is willing to do that for projects outside BGS?
Yeah the first game ain’t perfect but I definitely wanted to see some expansion to the world after seeing that ending, quite curious where the series could go in the future. especially on a triple A budget.

To be fair Todd is still working on a Bethesda game just not in BGS.
Dont know if Todd wants to work on a competing IP regardless of it being under the xbox umbrella.

I don’t believe that they would sell off any of their Japanese development studios. I do believe that if they were offered the right amount that they would sell off Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
Yeah, CD and Eidos are the only parts SE would sell. Their Japanese studios are still big money makers for them unlike those two
