Yeah, I think the focus should be on the letter first and foremost. I think it’s fantastic that Altman and it seems Bethesda as a whole are happy with MS, but the key takeaway should be on the lives Robert touched first and foremost. I think the one thing that rings true from all of these testimonials was that he was a great man to work for, and just a nice guy in general. As someone with leadership aspirations, I’m humbled to see just how many lives he touched and I think it just goes to show how important communication, humility and passion are to running a company.

But quoting those passages on Twitter in that context reeks of trying to get “console fanboy” points off the death of someone.
That’s just me.
It’s less gross than PlayStation fans using this death as console war fodder.
But it’s still kind of scuzzy.
Whilst I get where you guys are coming from and I agree, people follow his twitter for Xbox info so him quoting the MS/Xbox parts after linking the letter is what a lot of his followers will be expecting and if he didn’t you can guarantee some idiots would complain.
He should have just posted the letter.
It’s his Twitter he can do what he wants.
Hell one time he was talking about watching Madalorian (unless it was a hint), but I don’t know man…

Doesn’t matter if you don’t practice it, there are some who live and die by console war, and would use those passages posted as “ammo”.
It was never the intent by the author of the letter, but here we are in 2021.
