It was. The only caveat is that I got excited for the graphics when I saw the teaser to this, then it turned out to be Live Action!

There are other gaming companies that would be trying to get “in game” graphics to look that good and I hope that MS start throwing that kind of budget at this sort of game as well. I meant, there’s no real excuse now, other than ambition. MS have infinite money and, at last, a machine that can run graphics that nobody else can.

There is also Fable, so I would say they are busy. A DLC-team is smaller and makes sense if FH5 is not ready and makes no sense if it is.

I really thought FH5 would come this year, but now I don’t.

Jeff Grubb speculated about it, but he was very clear he didn’t have inside knowledge on it or anything. Just thought it made sense.

Like cyberpunk, playstation, nintendo, Resident Evil is adopting these Showcase. Hopefully Xbox is making notes here . Halo Infinite and other bigger games, deserved that kind of content.

Now that Ninja Theory’s multiplayer/combat team is finished with Bleeding Edge it would be really cool if their next project was a MechAssault reboot. I’ve been playing a lot of Titanfall multiplayer yesterday and it just feels like Xbox is sort of missing that robot multiplayer game at the moment. so yeah, I think they are the right team for that sort of project, perhaps hire some additional developers and maybe a support studio or two. We don’t need some extravagant campaign either, maybe something in the realm of 4-6 hours would be fine. It would just be nice to have Mechassault back in action.

Yeah, but there are two teams dedicated to each franchise, and the DLC is not supposed to hold over for a year I think. I don’t know, for now I will say it is still a possibility.

Yes i’m expecting some delayed for PS and Xbox but PS Will have the Big loses: Gow2 and horizon2 are 2022 games.

Xbox Will have Halo infinite and Starfield for 2021

PlayStation 5 - Destruction All Stars, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Gran Turismo 7. A few other AA/Indie games as well. Sony will be just fine and regardless of what they’ve said the last eight months, I don’t know why anyone expected Horizon 2 and especially GOWR in 2021. That’s simply hilarious.

Xbox Series X/S - The Medium, Bright Memory Infinite, Crossfire X, The Ascent, Wolfenstein III, Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. A few other AA/Indie games as well. I see Starfield like I see Horizon 2 and GOWR - 2022.

I honestly don’t because unless it’s Gran Turismo 7, I don’t see Sony releasing a top tier AAA title past the second week of September and while they showed an in-engine/game trailer, it wasn’t gameplay so less than eight months away, I just don’t see it happening.

I’m expecting it to be early 2022 which to be honest, is one of the reasons why I believe Starfield is March 2022.

I love mechassault, but believe there’s some wonky ownership/licensing situation going on here which might stop it from coming back anytime soon, sadly.

Starfield Is 2021. It would be released this year but acquisition changed the original Plan.

I think I know what the first licensed star wars game is going to be from xbox first party,

age of empires 4 is almost certainly going to be released within the next 18 months, and after that I think worlds edge will be making a Galactic Battlegrounds game. The original galactic battlegrounds was released in 2001 and was basically a reskin of age of empires 2 with new units like the at-at. this would be the perfect game to follow age of empires 4, as it would be something that they could turn around quickly
