doesnt EA have the Star Wars License for the games in till 2023?
There are rumors circulating that Disney is not going to re-up the contract and based on how long games take to make, could be shopping around to different publishers and developers.
Apparently they were not happy about:
The Battlefront II fiasco happening right at the launch of Last Jedi.
The amount of games released by EA during the period of license exclusivity.
So if Disney is shopping around a High Republic (the new KOTOR) game, they want to start doing that NOW, so it can be announced and release around the time of the High Republic movie and the new Star Wars Acolyte Disney+ series. That’s NOT a lot of time in retrospect even though those movies and show are several years away.

I read that Google Stadia will be on/in TVs near the end of this year. MS is planning on doing that too. Gonna be interesting to see how that unfolds, but one thing is for sure Stadia will have a long way to go if they want to go against Game Pass and how much it offers.
If there is a Kotor-like game coming in the Star Wars universe, made by either Obsidian or InXile, I’ll fucking lose my mind.

In his interview with Major Nelson, Spencer said he wanted to support and encourage mods. I bet that Halo Infinite will allow them.
