Fantastic news that you’re recovering man, that is all that matters at the end of the day. Good to see you posting again! Stay well!!!
Yeah, It’s impossible to put the manpower BG3 had on a new project just from obsidian. Larian is about 500 devs and spent 5 years on BG3.
They would have to near double in size, cancel everything else, and have their longest non covid dev time ever.
Love you lot.
When I saw your posts in that other thread earlier, it put a big smile on my face. This place is not the same without you.
Okay now you all are really making me tear up. Sincerely, good to talk to you all again. Been a bit of a rough recovery this one.
They are HILARIOUS!
It’s good to see you posting again. I’m still sending you positive energy.

Good to hear from you again and glad to hear gaming is helping you get through the treatment.
At least it has been a great year for gaming to help you out on this front .
My interpretation of Josh Sawyer’s tweet is a little less literal than how most people seem to be taking it.
It’s like someone saying “Why don’t you have a six pack like celebrity X” and responding with “Give me a nutritionist and personal trainer like X and I’ll get one”
Not necessarily saying he desires to do so, but that’s what it takes to get that done.
Edit: I guess this is an actual interview with some more context, not just the tweet.
It’s interesting that the next line from the interview is ignored. The full question and quote:
Now, the Activision Blizzard deal has finally been approved. Why is that so important? 65 billion is quite a price.
It is, but we’re really excited about it. For us, there are a few things that go all the way back for us as a company. Gaming is one, right? When I think about Microsoft, I think of perhaps developer tools, proprietary software, and gaming. Those are three things that we’ve done from the very beginning. And so, to us, gaming is the one place where we think we have a real contribution to make in consumer markets. If I look at it, the amount of time people allocate to gaming is going up and Gen Z is going to do more of that. The way games are made, the way the games are delivered, is changing radically. Whether it’s mobile, or consoles, or PCs, or even the cloud. So, we’re looking forward to really doubling down both as a game producer and a publisher. Now we’ll be one of the largest game publishers and also as a company that’s building platforms for it.
The bold bit where he says platforms also tends to get ignored
