Xbox Game Studios |OT12| The One with Starfield and Activision Blizzard King

So we know what the Playstation news is, now we wait for the Xbox news. But that was said to be good news, right? I always like good news. One source said big stuff, not sure I’d put Fallout 4 current gen patch news as big news, or the trailer for the show. Maybe something else.

This is pretty much where I am with Hellblade 2 ATM. If it shows up again at the Keighlys , hoping they show combat gameplay. Assuming they’re not saving it for a developer direct next year.

That’s great. Many of us have wanted them to start doing these.

First they came with developer direct and now this, good stuff! Speaking of, starting the new year with a developer direct with proper Hellblade 2 and perhaps new Avowed footage would be great too.

But we don’t have a concrete date on either, so maybe they keep it for June with a release later next year for both.

I see a lot of people talking about Insomniac Games that they are the best developers in the world in terms of production but for me all they have done is Ratchet a nice little 8 hour platform game, Spider-Man Miles Morales which for me remains a simple DLC / Stand Alone of Spider-Man PS4 it is worth an extension of Outer Worlds and Spider-Man 2 which is again a game in an existing Universe on part of the same map with the same animations. They have a workforce of +500 people. For me the biggest Productive Studio is Obsidian to date there are 280 of them but yet they have an average of one game per year and Jez Corden said that Obsidian aims to release one game per year until the end of the generation, they create their own universes from A-Z, they have excellent critical feedback, they have long-term follow-up. 2 expansions per game in general, whether Pillars of Eternity, Outer Worlds, Grounded, have post-launch monitoring with a significant update arriving soon. their games are of Incredible quality at least as good as Insomniac but they have an average lifespan of between 50-100 hours (I myself have more than 300 hours on Grounded, something like 500 hours on Fallout New Vegas , 30 hours on Pentiment, 60 hours on The Outer Worlds and something like a hundred hours on Pillars of Eternity and Pillars of Eternity 2. What Obsidian is doing I don’t see other Studios doing in the industry and I even find that Pentiment is really a revolutionary game in point’n click I had never played a point’n click with RPG elements with choices and consequences. It is all the more complex to create a type of game that doesn’t actually exist.

Insomniac is great, Obsidian is great.

You can not compare. Grounded is made by 15 people, so is Pentiment. so there is 250 devs working on Awowed since 2019 - a bit less considering the OW DLC.

Your argument mixing manpower and play hours time is also flawed. Tetris was made by 1 man and can last the eternity.
