I’m nearly done chapter 7 of SOM. I did not expect the music to be my favourite part of the game but here we are.
It’s cool to see the maturation of a studio in real time, you can tell they’ve improved a lot as a studio with this game. That’s all you can really ask for from an up and coming studio.
It’s a shame the hype around the game kinda all but disappeared by the time it launched but thems the breaks sometimes. I doubt the budget wasn’t much at all so they’ll be fine.

Tried a bit of SoM lat night and I have to say the combat actually feels way better than it looks. People have been down on it, but I would say it’s solidly good.

I was listening to a podcast about the dare devil show and out nowhere they just happen to mention that SoM was getting reviewed bombed. They were pretty dismayed by that. Do we really live in a world that people get upset because there is a black female lead in a game? The world cannot be this insane right?

Looks like Zos may be revamping the invasion mechanic for the next chapter!(it’s a serve wide pve event/story that needs enough people working together to progress it)
Subclassing will allow us to add class abilities from other classes.
New zone Solstice will be the area for the pve story event(my guess is that the story event will be were they test out more group over land difficulty).
Solstice is inhabited by Altmer and Argonians living together, it was mentioned that they’re all from exiled clans. The architecture looks like it will be a mix of old Argonian Xameer as the base with Altmer builded on top.
There was also talk of bringing in the new PVP settings that they were testing into live.
As well as a new 12 person trial to launch in the future.
Zos is also adding a content pass, which comes with all dlc for Solstice included instead of buying everything seperately.
There was talk of doing new thing in old zones as well.
I will admit I’m a little worried the story event will be like 5 minutes max, just because when enough people are fighting a dragon. That 21 million health instantly just disapears, so I have to wonder if the requirements will be more than just beat back the hoard(shit, I didn’t think about it until now but the invasion mechanic is likely more of a hoard).

Checking out the new dlc on the Xbox store because someone on reddit was already complaining that the new content pass will cost $79.99USD.
Turns out, it’s the new premium edition/new player pack, that includes the current content pass along with upgrades of previous dlc: Summerset, Necrom, High Isle, Elsweyr, Gold Road, Greymoor, Blackwood. I don’t include Morrowind because that was added to the base game from what I remember.
While the actual upgrade/content pass is the usual $49.99USD and the description talks about 4 new content updates, Solstice, Trials, Dungeons and Subclassing(maybe something else I’m not sure yet). With the in-game Story event being listed as a part of it for everyone to take place in.
I swear people really just want to be negative about everything to a point that they would rather spread misinformation instead of actually taking the time to read and look at what is being offered.
Also, yes subclassing means we get access to other class passives.
