I don’t have Halo installed, took up too much space for me. I did see a video of it now, it’s not what I was really hoping it would be.

Against Banished.

Yeah, was really hoping for actual zombies with also the behaviour of them, lol. Ah well.

It’s a “waste of time” to take a few hours to finish a 7.0/10 game? Please don’t be too theatrical…

It sucks that many aren’t going to experience all of the cool stuff the community has done. I understand first impressions are everything, but damn this game deserves a high population

In general, no but for a sequel in which I gave the first game an 8.0/10 overall, yes.

I’m about 4 and half hours in. I think it’s easily the most photorealistic game that I’ve ever seen. It’s truly a technical marvel. The voice actress has somehow put in a performance that even exceeds the already impressive performance she put on display in the first one.

I think it’s safe to assume that outside of Epic Games, Microsoft have the best studios in the industry that are utilizing Unreal Engine 5.

They’ve doubled down on all of the high praises that the first game got but unfortunately they’ve tripled down on all of the negatives I had with the first game. It truly at times feels like a step back in almost everything but the technical aspects.

If you thought the first one had potential and hoped that with Microsoft’s backing, it would go to the next level, I think you’ll maybe leave this game feeling a bit discontented.

That being said, I think if you liked the first one for what it is, you’ll definitely like this one. Congrats to Ninja Theory and all of the devs/workers over there.

I guess it’s weird for me, because I stopped playing the first one at about the 1 hour mark and never wanted to comeback. But I’m actually enjoying the little I played of this one(I’m also ignoring the voices unless they say something beneficial), and actually have plans to return.

I’m stuck at the second puzzle facepalm

I’m glad that Xbox marketed many type of games, especially when one may not even know this game exist as it was an indie standalone digital game. Now it’s a sequel with a familiar foundation with marketing push to expose it to the world. It’s the kickstart for Xbox and more to come.

Hah, this “I like the first one but don’t like the 2nd” argument is horse shit to me. It is legitimately far better in every single aspect but certain people somehow don’t like a bigger, better version of the first game that they supposedly loved. I don’t buy it, not for a second.

I feel like I need to go back and play the original again to understand where people are coming from with this argument.

I am about 4 hours in and loving the changes so far, combat is significantly better than I remember from the original.

How is it better? Puzzles are the same and out of the four I did, only the orb one was cool. Combat is identical. Slash the enemy a few times with X, medallion glows, hold focus and finish off the enemy with X/Y attacks. Are the visuals better? Sure but they should be as should the rest of the game but it isn’t. It’s also a sequel as opposed to a brand new IP developed and published by an independent studio in August 2017. My expectations are simply higher.

Also, while I liked the original game, it did take me three attempts to get through the game as I wasn’t into it but I spent $30 digitally on it and wanted to get my money’s worth and couldn’t refund it.

Out of every game I completed this generation thus far from Microsoft (5 games) and the 12 announced games that are on my list, Hellblade 2 was only above Gears Tactics in terms of me being interested in the game.

As for you not buying what im saying, believe whatever you want Jesse but I simply wasn’t enjoying the game and after almost three hours, dropped it and refunded the $12 from cancelling Game Pass for the month. There’s no reason for me to lie as I don’t gain anything from doing so. Just didn’t want to keep playing the game.

Starfield is my game of the generation and I only completed 6 story missions and barely made any progress despite putting in a total of almost 200 hours. Will be starting it fresh this Thursday and im actually very excited to get back to the game since the update added the features that I was waiting for since December.

Microsoft game wise, below are the games I completed -

  1. Starfield - 9.5/10 (my 2023 goty and current gotg)
  2. Halo Infinite - 9.5/10 (campaign only, my 2021 goty)
  3. Hi Fi Rush - 8.5/10
  4. Gears Tactics - 8.0/10
  5. Redfall - 6.0/10

Only Redfall was lower than an 8.0/10 and only reason why I completed it was because it had Vampires in it and was my type of game setup and formula wise.

But like everyone else, you can feel free to believe whatever you want Jesse. It’s not like im shitting on the game or anything like that. Just wasn’t into it. Nothing more and nothing less.

But for you and anyone else who’s into the game, great, I hope you fully enjoy it from beginning to end far more than I did.
