Yo, a pirate RPG is a legit cool and unexplored territory.

According to Rock Paper Shotgun, the pirate RPG is Pillars 2. I really need to get over my hesitation to continue playing Pillars 1 so that I can start Pillars 2.

Hmm yeah that is correct and you can be a pirate in that game, but I was really thinking of a focused pirate setting RPG, not a fantasy setting that has pirate themes in it.

I think the fantasy setting works better for me, because of how much of the mystical side of pirate stories can be added as world building without issues. While mixing things up by using the already established lore to get new results.

Risen 2+3 ?

Just beat POE 1 and 2 for the first time, I wouldn’t really call 2 a pirate game. There are many pirates in it, and you are the captain of a ship, but there’s not really much room to feel like a real pirate IMO, or to even feel like you’re really outside the law

Agreed. I’ve had a freeze frame from the OG Xbox startup animation as my background ever since the Xbox One days. This is the first time I’ve been tempted to change it…

I think I’ll finally change my ghostwire dynamic theme

I am surprised they put it out now instead of just before release, I love it.

It’s very super noticeable as it animates.

I know not the same thing, but I hope the next Elder Scrolls takes the spaceship from Starfield and turns it into building your own seafaring ship.

So many great ships concepts can come out of it and you already had Skyrim with it’s Norse mythology influence, so give us the option to build a Viking ship, pirate ship or Roman ship.

As for that particular game, I know it would have done well and it looked like Fable too.

Nord used to do a lot of raids in the second era (around ESO). But now in the forth era (Skyrim) they stop doing it. It’s either because of lack of war with other nations or they are heavy imperialized.

The next game will probably focused on Brentons or Redguards with the latter known for being pirates.

Yeah I’ve long thought that naval combat would be introduced in the next elder scrolls.

Goonies? I don’t play Grounded, is there a connection/reference between the two?

MS is clearly chasing the 30M+ communities.
