About time! Hasn’t the PS4 BC version been running at a higher res/framerate on PS5 than the Xbox BC version for a while now? I was surprised that wasn’t mentioned in the FTC case!
It will be interesting if Xbox are working on a native PS5 version too!
I think Starfield could be the biggest “new IP launch” in Microsofts entire history of making games. The energy wasn’t like this for Quantum Break or Sunset Overdrive. Last game this hyped from MS was Halo Infinite maybe, but even then it came with the expectation of it being a pre existing IP and the face of Xbox.
Two whole weeks for reviewers to have at it with Starfield, a Bethesda Game Studios Title and the first new IP from them 25 years in the making. We’re in the peak hype for Xbox Series X|S generation most likely. Maybe that will change when cod comes to game pass but I’m not sure.
It’s genuinely their biggest new IP since probably Gears of War, obviously Forza Horizon and Sea of Thieves have turned into huge games but neither of those had the anticipation that this does
Which shouldn’t be surprising, BGS games are a different breed, its already making me wonder about ES6
That’s gonna be one of the biggest launches of all time
If MS does get ABK, they’re getting such a big fucking asset. I still can’t get over how good the campaign looks in MW2 same with MW3, the COD teams are extremely talented in the tech department and art.
Nothing is beating the halo 3 hype for me. It was the sequel to one of the biggest game that reached new heights. Then Microsoft went all in on marketing . There was just so much hype about that game and nothing will beat that excitement for me
I really hope this is actually what it seems like to me, a 10-15 hour narrative driven adventure, no open-world or RPG, just that, like HIFI Rush. We really need those from time to time.
I mean, it might have open environments or some upgrading of powers (think Gears 5) but I think that’s exactly what it’s going to be. They called it a third-person story-driven action adventure game. Hi-Fi Rush has light upgrading too.
