Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

Cancer will be cured that day

I think i’d prefer PG taking another extra year and taking some risks with the next game

FH5 is excellent but they don’t want the franchise to become stale and have the same thing just in a new, prettier location

There’s also the aspect of games just taking longer to make nowadays like Booty said and with FH5 being as huge as it is they don’t need to be in any rush to pump a new game out

That’s what people want

New Forza in new place. That’s the horizon’s strength. It’s open world.

I dont expect FH6 in 2024. They have to integrate new tech from Forza Motorsport from this year and when Fable goes into full production i expect people at Playground to be occupied with it (2 separate teams means nothing when the deadline rears its head).

There is a portion of Halo fans that is always toxic. It seems unavoidable now. If Halo Infinite came with a $1M gift card for amazon, those fans would complain the gift card wasn’t for best buy…

The same can be said for most open world games, doesn’t mean teams should keep making the same thing over and over without innovating

So excited for their game. I know of course they will say so, but they seem very excited and confident in what they are cooking up.

I’ve no problem with the basic formula of an open world and the Horizon festival backdrop, but I’d very much prefer if they were to change the “story” back to the player being an unknown racer, who has to prove himself to all the hotshots. I’m real tired of being the superstar from the start.

Infinite had custom games at launch …?

It’s also instructive that something like Customs Browser, which Bungie never did, is just taken as read, as if it’s ‘just to be expected’. Or that 343 have effectively solved the endless sprint arguments. Nothing they do is ever good enough, it seems - and no, that does not preclude critique of their release cadence, the bugs, etc.

I dunno I kinda liked that about FH5, having played a LOT of 4 it was pretty neat to be playing the same character for effectively a direct sequel - and there’s a couple fun moments that result from that.

I still really like the beginning and premise of the first one for sure. It did feel pretty cool working through it.

I think I’ll hop into the next Motorsport game and try to tune the experience as best as I can towards my SIMcade preferences. I think I’m burned out on open world racers and just want a focused track experience.

Or maybe my last 30 hours of Ridge Racer Type 4 has me longing for more Ridge Racer . idk

I love Horizon but I personally couldn’t care less what the story is.

I think it also locks people out of content beyond car requirements, so I can understand why FH wouldn’t go back to the first game way if doing things. Maybe in a spinoff, or dlc for one of the main games where the last driver you face is your main story character.

The Necrom update is live on Xbox and as expected my heavy attack build has been nerfed, and unless I run a one bar build(maybe) or invest into trial gear(also maybe), I don’t expect to be able to hit 80k again for a while. Maybe even next update when they decide that a lot of their changes just aren’t working(again) and they want to reverse some stuff back to a previous version(again).

Switching to stam arcanist or stamplar with Deadly Strike and Orders Wrath should put you very close to 80k. If you already farmed Pillars of Nirn, drop Orders Wrath.

Deadly Strike is probably BIS even with trial gear.
