Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

I wonder what are the plans at 343 Industries and how MS is handling the studio. Their careers page still has 0 open position when Infinite’s Live-Service showed it was obvious they should have expanded in new locations and have a larger team. I took a look at Bungie (located in Seattle too) and they have something like +160 open positions.

Oh isn’t Microsoft is in a hiring freeze.

Buy certain affinity

I think the hiring freeze is still (partially at least) active.

Edit: Some studios are still hiring so it’s definitely on a case by case basis, but there has been no indication that the hiring freeze was lifted.

I want Indiana Jones to be a 3D platformer.

I’m not sure he’s trolling, but this is why I need PS to announce more games. It’s getting drained and once ABK becomes family, oh boy.

To be fair I imagine if we’re including “speculative titles that are a decade away” you could fill out the Playstation side pretty quick. I don’t imagine fans of Playstation games have much to be particularly worried about, even if there isn’t a lot in the current slate.

The impressive thing is that how diverse Xbox lineup is in comparison to Sony.

Refer to Xbox’s 2021 lineup, every game couldn’t be more different than the other. Imagine the 2023 lineup as Starfield, Redfall, Forza, Hellblade 2, and that’s also a lineup with each game a distinct genre. Sony had great diversity from PS5 launch until mid 2021, but I think from this year on it’s looking like it’s gonna be a fill of 3rd person cinematic action adventure galore again, until we see what their live service efforts are gonna look like at least.

Did they though? If we exclude third party deals they did not have much of diversity. 1 racing game and a set of third person games (2 ubisoft-style ones).

Launch you have to include stuff like sack boy and the one that was a demo for their controller lol. Ratchet as well.

Same can be said with Xbox with all the leaked projects. These are announced titles. What’s worse is Sony isn’t really known for Nintendo’s ploy as in “Announce a game that is actually coming within the same year” since they all about a year or so ones.

Wow, it really does put things into perspective.

I was just thinking the same but what would we consider speculative?

  • Last of Us Part 3?
  • Sony Santa Monica New IP?
  • Gran Turismo 8?
  • Horizon 3?
  • MLB The Show 23

I’m talking just 1st party.

  • Spider-Man MM
  • Demon’s Souls
  • Sackboy
  • Ratchet
  • Returnal
  • Destruction All Stars

That was really diverse. That outside of SMMM, the others weren’t the usual 3rd person cinematic and/or open world action adventure game.

GT8 and Horizon 3 is too soon. I think ND will make a new IP, but could be 2025 especially since the Faction is eating their time for a while now, let alone the remake. One thing for certain is that next year, unless they start pulling Nintendo strategy, they will be carried by Square, though I believe FF7R2 will be delayed to 2024.

Well it is on PC only

Sonys Showcase was promised me since August. Any day now …

These listwars about upcoming games multiple years in the future are rather pointless. Games can be delayed, bad or outright canceled. Its also missing every single DLC and live service content under the sun and this stuff is getting more important and big every year, especially for Sony.

I just see a picture with more games than i have time.
