Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

He will not like the game

It’s all just weird to me.

We went from glowing previews to this. Did Arkane just keep the “bad” sections hidden?

I am just prepared for most of the reviews to be negative even if I will more than likely disagree with all of them.

There is too much pre release negativity for this game to have gotten a fair chance.

Maybe I was looking at different previews but it wasn’t overwhelming glowing previews. They were solid.

Ah yes, that one. That is one review tomorrow I will be checking out then.

One thing is sure: Redfall was born to have something more “commercial” after Prey and Dishonored. Great games, but in terms of sales they seem to have not satisfied Bethesda that much, which I think forced Arkane to create Redfall. Now that they no longer have to worry about sales, I hope they get back to doing what they do best.

I read several and it sounded damn good. Also for those hoping for a great solo experience. On top of that a great game world worth exploring and so on.

I’m talking in totality.

I wouldn’t consider it overwhelming glowing. It had a decent range of opinions from really high on to it to thinking it was mediocre as hell.

That isn’t accurate. There were maybe 2 bad previews. One being from PC Gamer which gives out 4 and 5 ratings like candy.

Most were positive, which is what caused the uproar against the game in the first place from others.

Hmm then I must have missed those previews. The ones posted here sounded great and I remember one or two that were less glowing. On YouTube I remember Jake Baldino not being as excited with it.

If only GP had existed back then, I genuinely believe Dishonored and Prey would have had a much bigger fanbase. Despite (likely) majority of reviews to be negative it’s always possible that this game does really well. And I will never wish for something that people worked their ass off on to fail, but I do hope they go back to what they truly excel at.

Eh, I’ve definitely seen luke warm previews on it.

My point is, overwhelming glowing reactions is a bit of a reach lol. Even after the previews, most people here were tepid on the eventual review score.

It’s all semantics though.

Well, the silver lining in this is that Redfall will be their most played game haha.

Did they start working on Redfall immediately after Prey or is that not really known? Because that would make it almost six years in development then? It just surprises me that it would be in rough shape.

There was job listings in 2017 for Redfall.

Redfall is bad? I am shocked and disappointed by the feedback that has leaked. Nothing I could see on video made me think that the game was bad, on the contrary, it’s one of the games I was most looking forward to in 2023. What happened? Arkane is one of my favorite studios, I was hoping Redfall would be their first big hit with Xbox. It’s really a sad time with a string of bad news.

The previews were all on a high end PC running at 60FPS and they only played for two hours at level 8 or something. That’s not much time to truly see how the game is going to be.

Wait… like proper journalism?

Is that legal?

I’m thinking this lands in the 50s. This is a bad look for Microsoft no matter how you look at it. The first triple AAA first party release since Halo Infinite…
