He’s not a reviewer, gave the game a 6, was going on about enemy textures and graphics for half the video. Seems like the type of person for whom graphics are 90% of the game. Wouldn’t take it seriously.

He claims to have played the game for 20 hours but is only level 3 and only unlocked the first part of the map, also claims to have watched other reviews of the game already. Seems like someone who is lying and wants views. Hopefully Bethesda is more careful about who gets codes next time.

It was not a great…‘review’ but seemed pretty reasonable (to gather some things from the footage) on several aspects.
- Game is fun
- Gunplay isn’t great (I can kind of see that too honestly)
- Story is good
- The environment is interesting to explore (this is what I want to hear)
- Texture pop in (I could actually see this after toggling the UI)
EDIT: Disregard my comments, apparently total bs from people that have played it.

I watched it, I doubt he played 20 minutes let alone 20 hours. He made multiple factually incorrect statements throughout that anyone who has played the game would know are false.

This is way too common. I knew someone who ran a gaming site who did reviews and didn’t play the games. I’m talking maybe a few hours. They did it for codes.

Feel bad for the Dev team. They shouldn’t have to carry the weight of a 17 month drought on their backs with Redfall. Gotta deal with trolls, console warriors, etc etc.
Such bad vibes around this release, I hope they nail this game.

I can admit I am disappointed about 60fps not being ready for launch, but the whole discourse shows why the industry can be so vile. I feel like we’re losing the human element when discussing Redfall because people are using it’s trouble to dunk on Microsoft. Whether you go on forums, twitter, or other places you just see the game being slammed for anything and this was before the 30fps news. I am rooting for the game to succeed because as a gamer I don’t want to see any game fail.

I agree…I wish this game was coming out after Starfield, which I feel like should be the one shouldering all the weight.
Just big Redfall has to die so Starfield can live vibes going on IMO….
