Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

Just make it nothing like the old games. Could be an action adventure game in that setting with flying selections?

Then why make it Crimson Skies? Just make it a new IP. And you would piss off the fans of the game by changing it completely.

Then it would be better just to make a new IP, Crimson Skies wasn’t insanely popular or anything.

If you’re having to change up a game completely to bring it back, especially when it wasn’t particularly popular to begin with, I don’t think it’s worth bringing back

MS have a lot of IP that’s being underutilised but I don’t think Crimson Skies is one of them

Perfect Dark and Fable were the most obvious to bring back, and they are doing them. Next up is Banjo (as long as they can find a team, especially if they don’t get Toys for Bob).

Haha I don’t disagree, if it was a more interesting world like Shadowrun I could see it.

50v50 BR game with random weather that pushes everyone in random directions/s.

Great (not potato twitter) quality trailer:

Great trailer! the only thing that I didn’t like is the shitty cover of an amazing song…I guess this is a trend nowadays. Game looks awesome though!

Talking to my buddy about the state of all things Xbox now, and he’s a huge Tango fan and sad that Mikami left. Especially since it looked like he was still very interested in making a new game, but on his terms. I get that, I wish he had stuck around to do that, but it’s not like he didn’t have the time to do so. I doubt he wasn’t allowed to start on a game of his own, especially with all the talk about creative freedom.

I guess in the end he decided it was best to let it go, maybe not the ambition he once had. But it’s a bit odd, I saw a article from 2020 where it was said he wanted to direct one more game on his terms and that he had no shortage of ideas.

Maybe sometime in the near future he’ll talk about it.

Red dead redemption was a big departure from red dead revolver. I think the idea of making Crimson skies an action game with flying sections would be awesome. You could play as some vulgar, dirty scavengers who take part in heists on Zeppelins. There’s so much political stuff going on in crimson skies with all the states being separate and considered their own countries. They could really play it up and make a new crimson skies it’s own thing.

People don’t get mad at reimagined reboots. They get bad at reimagined reboots that are cringe, like the new Saints Row.

ooh nice 2 AM for me, i’ll give it an hour before going to sleep then, gotta rewatch all the character trailers to decide which one i’m getting.

Anyone knows, if i play solo and level up and find some weapons, can i use this character to play on friends’ games or it doesn’t work this way?

Bttw about the old IP’s talk:

Midtown Madness, Playground Games, Do it… Do it.

Mikami is a legend but he wanted to leave Tango years ago, by the sound of things the reason he’s leaving is because he’s happy with the state of the studio, so ironically it’s a good thing he’s leaving in a way

Plus Tango have clearly shown they are capable of making top tier games without him, Hi-Fi Rush is perfect proof of that and Ghostwire seems to be solid too, I still need to start it though

I just don’t think Crimson Skies and other games of that era have the juice for a modern revival. Jade Empire does, but that’s EA obviously, not Xbox.

Font scaling – Scale the size of the fonts from 100% to 150%. This applies to most menus and gameplay UI text.

One of the most important feature. Some games have unreadable tiny fonts it’s ridiculous.

Yeah, it’s crazy that games still have this issue, first time I experienced it was Dead Rising on 360, it was impossible to read without a HD TV at the time

FoV slider is really good to see too

Fantastic trailer. Song choice is great. Can´t miss with good ol Soundgarden.

I’m gonna have to go with a hard disagree. Devil May Cry V did just fine retooling the PS2 era character action game into a modern masterpiece. Crimson Skies has a world that not many other games touch, the only thing similar to its world is what we’ve seen from Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Perfect Dark is a game from the N64 era and it’s being retooled for modern audiences.
