Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

Honestly this new gem just feels less a half step from last gen. All I’m really playing is last gen titles cause honestly, nothing this gen on Xbox has really stood out for me. Hifi Rush maybe? Everything else was a last gen game.

Nothing yet to really say “this is why you you bought into the new gen”

Lack of 5 minute loading times are why I bought into this gen. Everything else is bonus.

I’ll be honest, I pushed to get the new gen when I found out that Forza will be new gen only. Now it’s latter half of the year but so far I’m happy with the Series X vs my VCR which was falling apart as it is

Xbox simply needs to start harnessing their nostalgia catalogue.

Banjoo Kazooie, Crimson Skies, etc.

They also need to leverage licenses such as LOTR, Batman, etc.

I love that, but that’s part of why I feel like it was a half step. The faster load times is great but everything I’ve played would have been fine on my One X.

Now maybe we are just at a point where we just won’t have those WOW experiences so it’s too high of expectations.

Maybe Starfield will be that wow.

Same. Jumped on the Series S because I wanted to play Witcher 3 on deathmarch difficulty. Fast reloads after dying was a vital QoL feature.

Going back to an Xbox One S was awful, I don’t know how we put up with the cold boot times and just how long it takes for everything to load :joy:

This for me was second. First was 60FPS which I have gotten with the exception of a few games. Fast loading times is excellent though.

But that’s been the trouble with Redfall isn’t it. All the footage was 60 FPS and so I bet all us Series X owners were expecting a 60 FPS game.

I remember when MS was showing off Forza 5 and you had even the likes of DF saying it was PC but the Series X version also came in at 60 FPS, so did Halo Infinite Ect.

To see Red fall at 30 on a Series X is a let down, but not the end of the world

you know whats the meltdown?. game being trashed by reviewers even if it have 120fps mode at launch.

That depends on if a game plays well or not, surely?

At least 60fps is coming at all. That wasn’t the case for Gotham Knights and Plague Tale.

It would be funny if Jedi launched with 60fps but is a bit dodgy technically, and Redfall launched without it but is rock solid.

I really doubt them hiring for a multiplayer role means their “next” project has multiplayer. They are a multi-game studio now and the multiplayer elements (if they even amount to anything, they might just be experimenting) could easily be for the game after their next game, or the game after that.

We seemingly know about the JRPG and it seems unlikely that would have multiplayer. We’ll see.

I agree, thought for me Plague Tell doesn’t need 60 FPS. Its a stealth game and a showcase for next gen graphics. I just hope Redfall is amazing and that will do me now.

I’m getting Jedi tomorrow and can’t wait, the 1st game was awesome and for me played and looked better onthe XBox One X. Hope this carries on with the Series X even if it takes a few patches LOL

Apparently the day zero patch for Jedi improved it a lot (at least on PS5, I haven’t heard about Xbox) and there might even be another patch on day one.

But yeah, I’m hyped for Redfall either way and I can deal with 30fps if it means playing an Arkane game. I hope 60fps doesn’t take too long, though.

With Redfall likely to be the topic of conversation soon, I was thinking about the game in general and from a personal stand point i must admit the initial leaks did harm my perception of the game. I wasn’t as big a fan of Prey as some but i did enjoy the atmosphere the game had and when leakers said “Arkane were making a game with Vampires”, my mind instantly thought it would be maybe an Arkane take on the game Vampyr or something. Then when the game got revealed it wasn’t quite the tone and stuff i was expecting and i was left thinking it was more of a Left 4 Dead style game so my interest waned after that first trailer.

I am very much looking forward to playing it and Arkane have said the right things about how it is playable very much so in single player, has elements from Arkane games we expect, etc but I guess it might be because i’ve not watched every single trailer and walkthrough but i’m hoping it does have a strong single player with a decent narrative like Prey had. From the trailers i have watched, the Gameplay does look like it’ll be quite fun.

Reviews will be interesting. I’m not sure if it’ll reach the heights of the acclaim the Dishonoured games got, but i reckon it’ll land in the low to mid 80’s. I hope it doesn’t end up like Wolfenstein Youngblood where it’s a someone competent single player experience, but only really shines in co-op and is lacking in a lot of other areas.

If Redfall is amazing, then that’s more than good enough for now. I’m sure Respawn will patch the Xbox version, they’re a good developer

Oh very true, man you are making too much sense. I found this article on another forum and you can guess what the reactions were.

“Mikami got the hell out of there.”, “That’s what being on Game Pass will eventually amount to” “another one bites the dust.”

I like this place better, a lot.

Someone has seriously botched the oversight of Bethesda studios. How does ghostwire get released and run worse on Xbox. Is it not using any of the series x features ?. Also redfall. It’s like Xbox just sent all their help to starfield and left the others to fend for themselves.
