No footage from the Xbox version of Redfall of an upcoming Xbox game… how ironic. And there’s a very real possibility that there won’t be any reviews ready in time for launch. I don’t want to seek doom and gloom, but this is just what Xbox doesn’t need right now and doesn’t inspire confidence at all
Again I ask. What was the last first party xbox game that came out that looked significantly different from the PC version? The doom shit is getting old now. You people always do this before a major show like it’s some kind of tradition or something.
I see you are not familiar with @Doncabesa .
I don’t understand what’s wrong with asking to show the Xbox version, never shown, to find out how it will run.
What’s even more bizarre, is what if this game was still multiplat lol. Seriously someone has dropped the ball here.
And here we go. Redfall pre-load is now live with an update bigger than 70GB on series X😘
Nothing wrong with it, but feels like a new worry people have recently. We have seen games on PC with Xbox like settings (Redfall at the demo was supposedly running on Medium) forever and not once have I felt that the game we were shown was not representative of the game we got.
I’ll come out and say it:
The situation with ABK is its own world. The acquisition is about joining the world of full blown public. If it merge, the world will know and acknowledge the status. Therefore, everyone will account it to be an asset to Xbox platform. We will advertisement that associate with the company itself everywhere.
If it doesn’t merge, the world goes on normally. Only finance speaking will be updated but truth be told, we should not even taken account that extreme. Maybe when the company goes bankrupt or whatever but not making a move we have no actual business as gamers. Do you really a kid or casual audience will be on it that hard? Don’t even think about internet is majority of the market? We’re not. CoD wouldn’t thrive if that thought was true.
What I’m saying is, ABK status won’t doom and gloom Xbox as a whole. It’s more or none.
Reason why people want to see the Xbox Series X version of Redfall is due to there not being a 60FPS performance mode and everyone wants to see how it runs and play at 30FPS. Does it drop to mid 20’s? Is their stuttering? Frame pacing issues? That’s why people want to see the Xbox Series X version including me. I really wish Microsoft would stop focusing and concentrating on PC when showing games and start showing them running off Xbox Series X. Games will always be the best on PC. No reason to show that version in my opinion. UGH. Oh well. Whatever. It’s a shitty day so whatever.
Same here. It’s been a thing of mine for a long time, just wishing that they’d show some Xbox footage and make it clear. I really liked when they showed Diablo 4 last year on XSX at E3.
And I just hope so much BGS shows Xbox footage, show us what we can expect the game to look like and how it performs, be straight up with the customer please about performance. Because then we know what we’re up to, sure, media and PS clowns will talk crap about 30fps but who cares.
I’m pretty sure the first starfield gameplay was Xbox. Otherwise why showcase it at 30fps.
You mean last year? Wasn’t it confirmed to be PC?
Dunno, but it wasn’t even a stable 30.
Same, 12 minutes to go maybe.
Edit: Almost ready for next week!
Edit 2.0: And ready!
Edit 3.0: just downloaded and it needs an update…
Edit 4.0: It was smaller than the weather app update.
I have a question/stupid issue. I’m one of those jaded XSX owners who has felt burned this past year and I’ve just been waiting for games that I want to finally release. I do like the upcoming slate. Redfall looks great, Starfield is obviously going to rock, and I’m a huge Forza fan. I also own a PS5 but I prefer to play XSX, it’s just frustrating how light how things have been.
I get weird FOMO sometimes where the negative Xbox news and tends pushes me away from the system despite how much I love the ecosystem and what “Xbox” represents as a whole. I like Xbox as a company where as Sony does very little to excite me outside of their moneyhatted FF games and such. It’s hard for me to have excitement for Xbox given the last year and that’s culminating with todays nonsense and it makes me feel like I shouldn’t be a fan despite me rooting for them to be better and for XSX to really take off…
I’d like to see Microsoft finally change how they’re doing things and really not a stride, and even though it seems like we are finally at that point where the engine is getting started, all of this negativity these past few weeks seems like things are just going to stall in a huge way. This makes me feel like it’s hard to invest myself in the ecosystem.
How do I navigate this? I already know I need to consume less gaming media and just enjoy the system as it is, but that’s honestly been hard this past year.
It sounds like you’re a little burnt out on gaming from what I’m reading.
I’m still a big Nintendo fanboy and I’m super excited for Zelda and Pikmin 4. Maybe I’m burnt out on this “new gen” so far?
It’s a little bit of legitimate frustration mixed with a lot of the constant bombardment of propaganda from the cultist leaning media and social media. It’s hard not to get bummed out by the constant negativity or FUD.
I’ve learned to filter it out a lot better now than I used to, some people here have had an enormous positive influence in that regard. My recommendation would be to lean into the positive things and realize that that negative feeling you have is exactly what the cultists wants you to feel. Don’t let them win.
You might be.
You don’t need to stick with Xbox thru thick and thin. It’s just another company that ultimately wants your money.
Play what you want to play or what interests you. Ignorance is bless. Knowing the in and outs of a company sucks the fun out of things if you let it affect you.
