I don’t think we make things better by doing the same things we criticise others for just because they’re doing it.
Redfall is not “incomplete” just because it doesn’t run at your desired framerate. Cmon, now. Also, hilarious how people think Phil can just walk into Arkane’s offices and flip some desks over, ask “what the fuck are you doing?” and have the 60fps mode ready by launch. (Not referring to you, relax)
That was my point i was making before. Phil cant do that. But he can take that responsibiluty away from Arkane.
Also they announced the 60fps is coming later. So by that definition. Its not the complete experience. It snot Gotham Knights of we cant do 60. No you can clearly do 60 as youve announced it. So its time issue
wow, you guys turned on Arkane so quickly. This is terrible.
It’s not even turning on Arkane, but announcing performance mode will be patched later is not a good look. This is not just an Arkane issue, but many don’t like when devs don’t release complete product at launch and have to wait weeks or months for a critical feature instead of delaying it for when it’s ready. I am sure OP and others still like Arkane, and 60fps was the expectations based on previews, game features listed, and showcases.
Honestly what more needs to be added to this conversation now as it has been spoken to death already?
The decision has been made and the game is not getting delayed at this very late date.
It’s not going to go away because people who feel “wronged” are not going to stop talking about it.
Think as a general rule, if people don’t want to see a topic continue it’s best just not to engage in it. Many of them would go away much quicker without a counter response.
I know I’m guilty too it’s hard lol
Exactly. All we can hope is the wait isn’t really long for the patch. But “at a later date.” doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence. On the other hand they could have said “soon” and that probably would have been even worse, lol.
Hopefully a month, or two tops.
Hopefully they see the backlash and realize that providing more information would be useful lol
The game launching with 4k 30fps isnt a big deal. If you dont want to deal with fps issues, play on a pc. If you truly care that much about fps then you should be playing on pc anyways.

Maybe like an estimate?
That’s like a release date, haha probably a bad idea. But maybe some clarification on what happened so the false advertising folks can calm down. Might also give us an idea of how much work is remaining.
If it was almost there but they ran into something last minute, that would tell us it won’t be long.
Yeah, that sure would be nice. There is no harm in doing so if they are indeed close, let’s hope they are. Until then, we play our favorite game. ![]()
Xbox isnt the only publisher that has had struggles getting above 30 fps on PS or Xbox. Therefore, its obvious if that is important to someone as a gamer, they should be getting a pc setup and playing on that.
I further add that the vast gaming population has no idea what frame rate a game is running at. We are talking about a very small portion of the gaming population that does.
I don’t really care about the data says, you can use that excuse for a bunch of features on consoles. Most people dont use MS rewards, photo mode, Console Browser, etc etc.
I agree with you that if FPS is indeed a deal breaker for you then maybe you should look into PC gaming or another platform that prioritize it.
I just don’t think that’s the right messaging to be sending out there lol. Xbox and PS created these expectations, not the fans.
I have resigned myself to eventually going to PC this gen, it’s just a matter of when. If Starfield doesn’t go the way I want I’ll be putting in a PC order in June lol.
That said PCs nowadays are so cost prohibitive I don’t like the whole ‘just buy a PC’ thing so much anymore. I’m priveleged to be able to afford it, but the wall shouldn’t be that high. Though I suppose at least a PC let’s you dial back so many settings that you could probably make 60fps happen with a cheaper PC.
Yeah, it’s tough because we can literally pull up tweets of xbox execs saying 60fps is the standard. Plus the game was showcased and previewed at 60fps
Honestly, I don’t think this conversation is going anywhere because constructive criticism is viewed as being negative. Then people that are okay with it are dismissing how many honest people prefer to play a shooter and ignore expectations that were set.
PC is honestly tricky this gen because I felt tempted myself but the cost is expensive. The major roadblock I’ve noticed is certain ports have ran awful on PC. I don’t think I want to deal with that
