The previews so far have been very positive from the media, so I want to believe it was the journalist who played wrong. I mean, the same accessories were always used against the enemy and not even the protagonist’s powers were used… That could have spiced up the gameplay.

I have seen IGN First videos before, they aren’t always this bad, not at all, sometimes they are though. IGN needs to check what they upload, but I assume Arkane had to give the go ahead too?
I think it’s just hard to make a FPS game look awesome and engaging from a presentation stand point if it isn’t a graphical powerhouse or laden with fantastic atmosphere.
I don’t think anyone should be surprised though , Arkane games have never really been a commercial success.
Word of mouth and Gamepass will do most of the heavy lifting, it’ll do the game way more justice than these trailers. It’ll be fine lol.

Minecraft Legends will probably be a big hit with touch functionality for mobile I can see this game being a phenomenal success and democratizing cloud gaming it’s a perfect game for mobile. It is also a totally innovative approach to the RTS genre.

God I hate that Avengers scene and the entire MCU while were at it
You dont need free to play for the PC crowd at all, people will buy a quality game that has content and a road map. Overwatch 1 was mever free to platly, ,COD main games arent free to play, Raimbow Six Siege isnt free to play,
Thats not including non FOS games, Monster Hunter, Diablo, Elden Ring all full retain games
Halo Battle Royal being f2p is fine, main games being free to play is a complete disaster

That IGN video was so bad it made me no longer want to play Devinder so I’ll be playing Layla because every piece of footage of gameplay from people playing her has looked really good, and I love the way the lift ability can be used. I’ll probably save Devinder for a co-op run or something still.
Don’t count out Devinder. The IGN player failed to use his UV hardray and threw teleporters without using them. Dev can do some fun stuff.
But yeah, Dev looks fun.

Devinder is the character that I will be using and yeah, the person playing was just bad at the game or wasn’t paying attention because those teleporters were constantly tossed out there and at first, I thought that it was an explosive mine but then realized that it’s meant for you to teleport (like blink in Dishonored if I remember correctly) and the player didn’t teleport a single time which was weird to me.
I’m personally not into the teleporting aspect but I like Devinder’s two other abilities of striking enemies in a radius with electricity and turning enemies to stone so im sticking with him when I play the game.
Gamers and Game journalist are to different thing.
Gamers usually played games and are good at them. Game journalist write about games but usually suck at actual gameplay.

Low-key disappointed the coalition is only working on gears 6.
Do people not remember the Cuphead fiasco with that game journo who struggled with jumping.

We all know why the game is getting hate-bombed & it’s got very little to do with the game itself & everything to do with the current Activision deal climate.
The gameplay footage merely solidified its Destiny-lite type of co-op experience. It reminded me of a co-op boss fight I once had in the first Destiny against some raid boss & both of us (the 3rd player quit early on) ended up spending a couple of hours playing a game of shoot then hide & seek whilst we whittled down the boss’s life bar (it took forever & forever but it was fun as hell).
The crazy overreactions against Redfall are an attempt to shape a negative narrative & bad word of mouth. Fortunately Game Pass will fix that & the toxic mob from the blue team can go off & play whatever’s on their box in May.

Has anyone here played Pillars of Eternity? I tried going through it two years ago but stopped because it throws lore overload at you. I now have it loaded on my Steam Deck and I was playing it on my commute this morning.
I’m becoming inpatient with the lack of upcoming first party content from Xbox GAME STUDIOS (not including Bethesda). I’m waiting for all these games they announced in 2020 with the CGI trailers like Avowed, Fable, Hellblade 2, Everwild, Perfect Dark and so on.
This is pretty old but did we ever get a confirmation on what project gravity/kalimba is. Also about the shadow run revival.

Game is really good. Amazing story and world building. Side content is solid and characters are good.
Playing through PoE could also help with Avowed in the future.
Edit: PoE 2 is a direct sequel if you want to play it as well. Story is a little bit weaker, but everything else much better. But Hiravias is missing from PoE2 which still hurts.
