what the hell?? Grounded in the top 20 for dollar sales in October NICE, not bad for a small indie game that wasn’t cancelled for Elder Scrolls 6 huh.

Yeah this is actually really surprising considering many things, for dollar sales especially, because the game is $30 as I remember right?

I think the chances of Grounded 2 are increasing by the day.
Grounded is selling? That surprises considering it feels like a cornerstone of the Gamepass model.
It’s not THAT surprising. Game Pass generates word of mouth and we know from many developers that Game Pass leads to increased sales and spending.
A lot of people will be buying it on Steam.

Obsidian man, What a studio. Grounded , pentiment reviewing super well and then avowed next followed by the outer worlds 2. They trying their best to take the top spot amongst all xbox game studios and man are they performing so well

Steam is the place for survival games and that type of audience (survival and base building stuff) is usually associated with it so yeah you’re probably right.

Happy for Pentiment, will still probably never play it but I’m glad it’s reviewing well.
Obsidian is seriously among the best purchase and this helped them to raise eyeballs to their next game, which will be the AAA title.

I’ve been saying this since XO when it was announced they were being bought. I loved all of the 2018 studio announcements but, as someone who grew up with Interplay/InXile and Black Isle/Obsidian, I was most excited for those two because I knew what they both were capable of with proper budgets. It’s a great thing for people to see how special Obsidian truly is (arguably one of the most efficient studios in the industry). They’re just getting started
