Xbox Game Studios |OT10| Here are the games

Okay man, so basically you don’t like how it looks and are trying to craft an argument for why no one else likes it

Read any of the comments on their YouTube video and Facebook feed, it’s not PlayStation trolls that are questioning the gameplay I guarantee it.

It looks like an uninspired looter shooter that has less action going on, requirements for always online is a complete joke, and the vampires look boring and easy to fight.

Seeing the discourse around Redfall makes me all the more glad that Hi Fi Rush was shadow dropped, and nobody even had the time to shit on the game before it even came out because that’s what today’s gamers like to do .

Reenabling the dislike view count? What kind of misery porn mindset is that.

Why are gamers these days such big crybabies. If you like a game play it, if you don’t just don’t play it, why whine and worry about what people will say.

When you didn’t like a dish you had at a restaurant you don’t go out and discuss about how bad it was or how it could be better for days and days. You just brush your teeth gargle your mouth and cleanse your pallete with something you like or desire.

We already have too many games these days. Not every game will be for everyone. There is no point in whining 24×7 about it

I’m at the point of the gen where storage is beginning to be more of a problem for me.

I currently have an xbox expansion nvme card that I use alongside the internal memory for all Series games. I also have a usb 3.0 SSD externI I use for all BC games. Finally, I have an older external HDD I use for cold storage.

If I were to upgrade my SSD to an external nvme, will it still play my BC games? I know that Series X games only launch from the official Xbox nvme storage, but I’m just wondering about my BC titles. Also, Is it even worth it to go nvme for BC titles or should I just upgrade my SSD storage size? Anyone have recommendations for either?

Excellent numbers all round bar Infinite imo

Grounded still doing 10k, that little beast got legs

AoE2 is still an absolute monster nearly 25 years later, that game is probably eternal and Skyrim, the only thing that can stop it is ES6

Might be useful. I forget the results

MCC being on par or better with Infinite despite the latter being free is so insane .

So I would say the exact opposite. Redfall is slated to be Arkane’s most played game by far, and that’s because it should be able to penetrate the casual market.

Hi-Fi Rush went viral among gaming enthusiasts, twitter, etc. It’s sold well on Steam and it’ll win awards for sure. but when you look at how many people are actually playing the game, it’s not quite as high as you’d think. Heck, I was going to say it’s sitting at 23rd most played (Right under Halo Infinite at 24th btw), but it’s actually gone down to 32 now. And it’s peak concurrent on Steam was around 6k players.

Never forget that what we see and interact with online is a very, very small bubble compared to the total gaming audience. I have little doubt that Redfall will have great player numbers and I hope it’ll finally be the Arkane game that breaks into the mainstream.

Keep in mind Infinite has always struggled on Steam after the first month or so it released.

On Xbox Infinite is at 23 (not a good number, of course), but MCC doesn’t even appear in the top 50.

Honestly, do PC gamers even like Halo? I feel Halo is more of a console shooter than PC. Anyways, not a good look that both Halo games combined doesn’t even crack the top 7 more active users on Steam.

Yeah, Hi-Fi Rush is at #39 here (SWE), Infinite at #31. Hi-Fi Rush was higher before, but it’s a pretty short singleplayer game and a lot of people probably played it at launch so not really comparable.

Redfall should do better, for a longer time. But these lists are not great for judging all games success or lack there of. It’s mostly MP, live service games that should be at the top for a longer time, hence we can see how badly Xbox flagship game in that category does. Especially compared to Forza, which is at #9 here and have been top 10 since launch, at the same time as Infinite too.

Redfall should appeal to a lot of people.

I agree with your points about Hi-Fi Rush because i you look at achievement completion % it’s low for most bosses. However, I think that’s the gamepass effect where people might turn it on for 20 mins and uninstall. I think many need to separate what we see on social media to what might actually happen. I think only time social media has an impact if negative news spread and it reaches to popular outlets like IGN where many people will se on Twitter and other places

Completion % are low for games in general. For games in Game Pass it’s even lower, for the reason you mentioned.

Achievement/trophy % always tends to stay low for the vast majority of games, most of the people buying and playing games don’t get too far

Now add a subscription service where 25-30m people can download and try it out, most people will bounce off quickly regardless of how good the game is

The top 50 most played games is a bit bunk and i’ll tell you why. The top10-15 is pretty inpenetrable. Its a mix of the best selling games on earth and F2P juggernauts.

Sure a big gamepass game will get there but wont stay there. You basically need a phenomenon…and even then its no guarentee.

Take a look at Overwatch 2. 25 million players in a week. 35 million in a month. Huge launch.

12th place.

Fall Guys. 50 million players.

30th place.

So when I see Forza at 15 and Halo at 23 it chaps my ass when people think thats bad.

Secondly. Sea of Thieves is a huge Xbox game. Its number 42…yet it seems to add 7 million players every year. Clearly being almost outside that mark isnt dulling its demand.

GROUNDED has been out of the top 50 for 2 years, still got 15 million players. MSFlight Sim is the same. 10 million. Generally if you’re in the top 50 in any way and on gamepass, you’re not doing bad at all.
