That’s why I hope the real date gets announced this or next month. But they could have also not added that on the page, they know everyone is watching and waiting and I’m sure some of BGS has seen the tweets about people having lots of doubts about the release.

If they do end up delaying it (don’t believe so myself) I just wish they didn’t add that question on the support page yet.

Microsoft is not gonna to introduce an additional SKU or sell at such a huge loss.

But I do curious of Nintendo Switch 2 specs and price. If Steam Deck is that expensive, what Nintendo’s price is gonna be? They sell Switch at profit after all.

  • My guess is whatever Nintendo releases next will be at best be as powerful as the Steam Deck. It will likely have DLSS to help cover it’s deficiencies.
  • Nintendo’s economies of scale will be much better than Valve’s.
  • Nintendo won’t give repair-ability a second thought so will be able to cut some corners and costs.
  • All of that is dependent on them even following up with a hybrid console again, which is likely, but given that it’s Nintendo there’s probably a non-zero chance it’s something else entirely.

I hope whatever Arkane Studios Lyon is working on next goes back to the physics approach that dishonored and Prey had. Deathloop doesn’t stand out in a market saturated in cartoony looking shooters.
