Been afk for a few hours, and I come back to see that it’s apparently all but confirmed that FFXVI is a PS5 timed exclusive.
Worst timeline continues.
So far InXile, but we don’t know much about Compulsion’s next project. Between the last two, it is definitely InXile. Then again both InXile and Compulsion’s project will probably release around 2024-25, so they are pretty far off.

I got the impression from Phil’s interview that there was going to be some BC/enhancement talk in the August event.
For the last few days I have been wondering why has Phil not signed a deal for XGS published Mistwalker-JP Games project. If they want to take Japan seriously, they have to be agressive like 360. Where are the Itagaki and Swery65 games published by XGS ? I hope the fruits of all those trips to Japan are not just ports.

same, a new Itagaki Ninja Gaiden and Mistwalker/Sakaguchi Lost Odyssey/Blue Dragon would honestly sell like hot cakes.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I appreciate that we’re getting a lot more JP games recently, but I’d like to see them get out there and be a bit more aggressive. It’s a shame the drive wasn’t there to carry on things like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey last gen, as Xbox would basically have their own exclusive FF- and DQ-like franchises now.
