So let me ask at this point Halo and Psychonauts 2 are the only cross gen title from XGS, correct?

So the not left behind argument is kinda PR, correct?

As of this moment, that is correct. Id assume gears tactics and by some magic fairy dust flight simulator will also be cross platform

Besides that though, itll be if any more XGS fiest party games are announcing and released within the first year, which id wager aint alot

Gears Tactics and Microsoft Flight Simulator are also cross-gen.

Though I’m not sure they’ll be able to pull it off for Flight Sim.

Those games are already available so it makes sense but yeah flight sim seems to be hard on the cpu

When you are the challenger and are called Microsoft, it’s just not acceptable. MS’s marketing machine needs a BIG shakeup. And they need to spend a lot more in this sector.

FlightSim makes me wonder if they consider a game being streamed to Xbox One as being “available on Xbox One”

Because I can’t imagine how are they gonna make it work otherwise

And if so, Idk… maybe they can use that same nomenclature to “subtly forgo” a native Xbox One version for Halo (campaign at least, maybe MP needs less compromises than an open world to run native on current gen)

They want to enable VR for flight simulator. So performance optimizations are very necessary even before a Xbox One version.

Also, the CPU in the Xbox One ist not that bad.

The Publishing team should have worked with Team Ninja, Playtonic and Iron Galaxy on new Ninja Gaiden, Banjo and Killer Instinct. I wonder what they will have for next year besides Halo?

At that point it would probably be a better investment to just buy the whole studio over paying for gamepass inclusion. As while it would be more it would probably lead to a better return on investment as at that point you could recoup the initial spend down the road in merchandising and entertainment revenue.

totally agree with you on it not being likely.
