Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

That’s fine, but I think we can both agree that this was an over dramatic reaction.

It’s a console. This isn’t worth getting this upset about.

I was thinking, with the Gamepass/EA Play partnership, maybe we will see Series S/X upgrades for some of their games :open_mouth:. Imagine Fallen Order or TitanFall 2 in 120 FPS. Or Battlefront 2015 (one of the best looking games of the gen IMO) in something greater than 720p .

I’m honestly curious about how big this deal will be in the long term. Kinda think it’d be bigger if EA games were being released day one onto game pass (even if it’s just the non-sports titles), but eh whatever.

Excited to try out Sea or Solitude.

Battlefront 2 with Series X upgrades would make me so hyped.

i’m interested to see the information about the BackCompat stuff. Perhaps a lot of enhancements will be system level with Series X|S where many developers wont have to touch up old games.

For example when they talk about implementing Auto-HDR to a lot of games, even during the 360 era.

While the Xbox Series S is not for me personally, you would be a total and complete moron to not trade in the Xbox One X ($175 trade in credit now at GameStop) and upgrade to the Xbox Series S for one very simple reason - once cross-gen ends, the Xbox One X is basically dead and obsolete because you wouldn’t be able to play any new games on it years down the line but with Xbox Series S, you’re literally covered for the entire generation and if you don’t own or plan to own a 4K TV, you’re more than good to play.

Ahhh Xbox Series V ?

everyone is probably asking him about the image circulating.

That would definitely be going overboard. If I had to guess, I would say that Microsoft had both the Series S and Series V in development with the intention of releasing one of them and shelving the other. Series S was the cheaper option that can still do what they want it to do and well, here we are.

The only reason I could think to not trade in is if you’re a collector

“Series V” makes be wonder what a Cyberpunk themed Series S/X would look like

where did that trend even come from?

As a Texan, I can tell you some of the best barbecue in the state is found there. Magnificent stuff surprised that city was picked for the name. Sometimes it is a small world.

Yeah, I guess but with Backwards Compatibility, chances are you wouldn’t be playing games on the older console anyway. It would be collecting dust in a closet or something. Lucky for me, I stopped being a collector when I started the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 generation.

I honestly hope that there is a 3rd sku that it isn’t the Series V. They would just be handing their haters (or anyone really) the ammo for a generation’s worth of memes-- Xbox Series SVX into Xbox Series SUX isn’t really that much of a stretch.

Oh, we plan to have our collection on display, just don’t have the shelving for them yet, so they’re collecting dust in a closet for now lol

Pretty cool

Remind them who runs this town. Arm yourself with prohibition era weapons, get behind the wheel of authentic classic 1930s vehicles, and live the life of a gangster in Mafia: Definitive Edition
